I got the guy down to like 5 HP and I was at 18. Then he made a mad comeback, and got me down to 3. Carbuncle swung for 4, got me haste, and I killed him with my next attack.
Friggin' sweet.
If any of you guys want to do some battling, let me know. My Friend Code is 335103-860860. Just be sure to PM and we can have some epic battles.
Speaking of which,
has anyone gotten Gold on the first bomb wall?
I can't get it done under 16 seconds.
I loved this game, though. I finished it up after about 18 and a half hours. I got 110 or so of the 122 cards. I'll slowly be trying to get the rest, but some of the minigames (like the aforementioned bomb wall) are really hard to get Gold on.
What's really annoying is the run down the beanstalk.
That and the fucking asshole shitface cocksuckers who drop me when I'm just about to win in wi-fi battles.
Seriously, those people should have their DS system taken and smashed right in front of them.
If people want to add me to their friend list, my code is 515492-837033. Please PM me with your code if you add me. THEN WE WILL FIGHT TO THE DEATH.
Does the second sentence of this post have any connection to the first?
Or were you just expressing your tiredness to all of us while pointing out that it's using one of the best 3d engines on the DS so far?
If the problem you have with the engine is that FFIII looked dull, then I agree, but that was the fault of the art direction rather than the engine itself. Technically, the engine is pretty hotbeans.
And the card battles are awesome...simple..but awesome.
I can't decide if I like the card battles or not. The cards are fun and the animation is great but there really doesn't seem to be any strategy. I mean, If I see that my opponent has 2 red cards and a yellow card, don't I pretty much HAVE to play a card with a shield in red?
In other news, anyone who disconnects from a card battle just because they're going to lose is a fucking pussy. Seriously. I've had like 4 people disconnect when I was about to deal the killing blow. Asshats.
In other OTHER news... Post your friend codes. We need to get some epic battles going.
Triple other news. I have just 2 more cards to go to get 100% completion. Stupid cheese-bridge game and Redeye Rampage. Grrr.
Edit: Beat'd it. Just requires a lucky run.
Some of the games make me mad though. I'm looking at you, going back down the beanstalk. Yoshi's Touch & Go you are not.
Seriously, I'm going to start posting the names of disconnector's Chocobos up here.
Then we will all see.
Also, I dislike getting raped by players from Japan. They are ruthless in the destruction of my cards.
POST MORE FRIEND CODES!!!!
Unfortunately my wi-fi access is spotty, so I have only played one wi-fi battle. But it rocked.
Also, fuck the Three Little Piggies Volume One.
(Color) Sword .vs. (Same Color) Shield = Attack is blocked. If the defending card has a "Guard Ability" it activates.
(Color) Sword .vs. (Same Color) Sword = Attack deals half damage. If the attacking card has an ability, it activates.
(Color) Sword .vs. (Same Color) Empty = Attack deals full damage. If the attacking card has an ability, it activates.
That's the basics. There's more stuff like building up Crystal Points to use certain abilities, but hopefully that's enough for now. If you need more help, don't hesitate to ask.
Meh.
lol
It's not funny it's dissapointing!
Actually it's both.
My friend code is 4167-0926-5669 if you want to add me.

I got a gold on Magic Pot Luck in one shot. Is it purely random, or was there some pattern I was supposed to note?
Completely random.
Also I finished the game last night and I'm missing around a dozen cards but I'm not sure if I want to go through the frustration. of grinding out the rest of the microgames to get 100%. It just doesn't seem worth when there's hardly any players as it is right now and that numbers only going to decrease as more and more people get their hands on Pokemon.
Lastly, has anyone else heard about the available promo cards? I guess if you go to a store with an up to date download station you're able to download 5 promo cards. They are:
Anyone else know about these or find them in the wild?

Don't just tap the instruments in time with the music, have your character on the instrument as the timer cycles through. It took me quite a few tries and risked a broken DS before I figured that out.

You know what you have to do now, right?
Move that $5 to a game that won't frustrate you for hours at a time?

Yeah. I like FFF:CT, but dear god I don't know how the hell they thought their target audience would like it. I would imagine my ex killing my DS trying to play. With fire.
Then again, there's a reason she's my ex. Crazy little pyro. Man do I miss her sometimes.
Yeah that pretty much pissed me off too... THE Damn Beanstalk and swimming under water ARGH!
Mmmmmm...Gackt-licious
I'm glad I bought it, but holy fuck some of these gold limits are designed to just GAH.
