Why does that son of a bitch, Terrorbyte, get to see them?
Okay, i visited neogaf and the zombie looks on par polygon countwise as the ganado so that's not bad.
Being first person with no visible weapon bothers me. I'd rather see onscreen hands waving a gun around than pretending the little white thing I'm holding is pistol/shotgun/SMG/rocket launcher.
Why is everyone assuming this will be first person?
Those shots just look like they are showing off the environments.
Also, is there a separate thread for RE4 Wii or can that be discussed here?
that has a seperate thread.
We assume it's first person because all of the shots are from a POV camera angle with one of themhaving a zombie right up in our face. The Japanese text may also say that. I don't know.
Paul Gale, moderator of 1UP's forums, said that he has seen actual game in motion, and no, it isn't lightgun shooter or on rails game, though you could guess so from the screenshots (if I understood correctly, only shooting happens in 1st person mode). Furthermore, he said that those scans don't do justice for game. Game will be unveiled on 12th of April. But continue trolling, and doing hasty, retarded conclusions. I wouldn't except less than that from you.
on another note, does this game add anything new to the mythos/story? If it doesn't then I might just wait for RE5.
Yup, it should unveil "secrets" from previous games. And maybe you should wait for reviews, you know, before claiming that game isn't possibly worth of you time. :P
Is this game going to be like a best of Resident Evil 1 to 3, or are we just going in and out of those games with new parts? It seems like it's worth a buy but also like an odd step back after RE4.

They've said that? That's Capcom's sign that it's going to try to fix plot holes but in the end, will raise more questions than give answers (see: Resident Evil Zero).
Also, a massive :v: if I have to control Jill in first person. In between buckets of zombie brains, I like to look at something that's pleasing to the eye.

Holy crap. Those shots look awesome.
I hope those aren't FMV or renders. Judging by the textures in the background of the shots, and a few little imperfections on the models, it doesn't really look like they are.
Also, do we actually have confirmation that the game is going to be first-person, and whether it'll just be first-person for shooting or not?
Edit: It appears, according to that scan, that the game will have both Akushon and Shuchingu (Action/Shooting).
- Shinji Mikami (belatedly) apologizes for Bio Hazard 4 getting ported to PS2 in an interview with Famitsu's editor, Tsushin Hamamura. Saying he "betrayed both GameCube and PlayStation users", he expresses his guilt and even apologizes for not apologizing sooner.
He apologises for the porting of RE4 to the PS2 and then says he betrayed Playstation users? Yeah Mikami, you betrayed PS2 users by letting them play one of the better games of this generation.

I believe that Mikami wasn't graphics-wise very happy how RE4 turned on the PS2. I guess he is some kind of perfectionist.

It's not the best looking game on the system but it still looks fantastic and was ported really well (except for not making good use of the L2/R2 buttons).

What the hell Capcom?
Uh oh.
And you base this on horribly scanned photos?
They are bisexual.
I'm basing it on the fact that I can count the polygons on that zombie even with a blurry, poorly scanned photo. Embarrassing.
You can count the polygons on lots of things. For example, I can count the polygons on the tires in that one GTA ripoff for the 360.
Still, I'm cautiously optimistic...they learned things from RE4, right?
Yeah, excuse me for expecting a bit more from the crafters of REMake and RE4 ... ON THE SAME MOTHERFUCKING HARDWARE.
Ugh, it's hard to get excited by a game when the developer shows a total and utter lack of effort.

Here are some older pictures.

Anyway, it's still too early to say for certain.

Biohazard / Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicle (Wii)
- 1st person View Gun shooting
- story about the destruction(?) of Umbrella Corp.
- Chris, Jill, Rebecca, Billy, Wesker etc
almost the same as the rumor earlier
Biohazard 4 Wii is confirmed too (5/31)
They've added a search knife attack, waggle the wiicon to attack.
I WILL NOT BE DOING 3DS FOR NWC THREAD. SOMEONE ELSE WILL HAVE TO TAKE OVER.

So, uh, in that case: how many polygons were used to make that zombie?
Color me disappointed. A RE game that played like RE4 could be fucking awesome on the wii.

I was about to say the exact same thing, but come on, it's Terrorbyte.
ZOMG! I can count polygons in each model!
