Would this be phase one of a complete conversion into a shield world or should we pick out some other planet for that?
Unstable version is apparently exactly the same as the last nightly build that I was already playing, since it didn't download any extra files when I switched over. Except its wiped my character. Gaaah!

I loaded up the new Unstable update, made a Glitch. My ship's AI is a robot wizard with a fake beard and a bunny under his hat. Although, I started on a rainy planet so it was super laggy. I'm gonna try again and see if I can get a planet that doesn't have framerate killing rain.
My starting planet is pretty great. Grassy with pine trees, occasional rain and crystal showers, and the wildlife isn't too frisky. Oh, and corn, rice, wheat, potatoes, and pearlpeas were native to it. Gonna start farming and cooking soon. Say, what are the core fragments my SAIL wants to fix the ship? Do I just dig down into the center of the planet for them?

I'm just going to wait till January. No matter what I try I can only get good performance on the ship. They even said there would be performance issues until 1.0
Actually, I just remembered that I always ran beautifully while online someone's server. Do we have a server still? I think it's the only way I'll be able to play at a reasonable speed till they fix the lag.
I think @DiannaoChong was asking if there was any interest in a server, it would be fun to hop on and play with people. Some of the best times I had in minecraft and terraria was on servers and checking out what other people had built.
I would love to tackle some building projects together, or just make a ridiculously large castle appear while everyone else sleeps. Everytime I read this thread I find myself restarting my "sand castle" on an arid planet with sandstorms. I'd really like others to see my work and play along. I might be part glitch, because all I want to do is build a castle that encompasses most if not all of a planet. I am very excited about water worlds, in abcense of Terarria's buckets and pumps.

This all makes me excited! I'm kinda worried that with their continued adding of biomes that it'll throw off planet gen every update, though
