Hey guys, I'm on the Ebonheart Pact playing with a few close friends and my brother. If anyone else didn't go with the PA majority and is on EP i've got a small guild going that is fairly casual, with the aim of small man organized RvR and other content. It is called Disciples of Jörmungandr, i've got a small mumbler server i share with former wow guildies. If i end up getting 10 people i'll set up my own mumble server.
I'm not trying to take away from the PA guild, just tossing this out there for anyone who, like myself, was going to join the EP regardless of the PA vote and wants a casual+(i'm trying to coin this as a term for something between casual and hardcore but maybe leaning more toward casual) guild to level, craft, pve, and RvR with. If you are interested you can msg me on here or in game @whiskeyjack227 or my character name Gjalpinulva
You can join the PA guild at the same time, you know.
I plan to today, I'll need some crossrealm RvR information , but I was so caught up in playing yesterday i just didn't reach out to anyone.

So I used FTC and WarLegend HUD for a couple of hours a piece last night, and I think I can make a mini-comparison of them, as some people were asking in guild last night what the differences were.
WarLegend Modules: HUD, buff icons, cast bars
Pros
Very configurable. The configuration dialog has a ton of options
Each piece can be broken apart and moved separately
Nice default look and feel, especially if you played WoW with a bottom-centric layout
Under active development
Cons
Less modules than FTC. WarLegend is really just a HUD.
Has a jarring look and feel when compared to the default UI, looks "gamey"
FTC Modules: HUD, buff icons, cast bars, floating combat text, game state notifications
Pros
Tons of modules, covering a more complete integrated combat experience
Relatively unobtrusive default layout. Blends nicely with the default UI
Puts quite a bit of information at your fingertips
Under active development
Cons
Less configurable than WarLegend
Not quite as easy to move individual elements around
Right now, I'm using FTC, but I haven't made a final decision yet. In theory, with some configuration, you could use FTC and WarLegend together (by disabling FTC's HUD/buff functions and loading WarLegend instead), though I haven't tried this yet.
Bleh lame, just found out today that I need to stay late ate work tomorrow for a CE event. Spectrum I should be on around 8:30pm~ish.
@Delphinidaes Well! Guess I don't need to change my schedule at all then.

I ran in to my first broken quest acting as a progress block yesterday, at level 8. It didn't bother me too much because it was late enough in the evening that I just decided to go relax before bed for a bit...but I'm going to be miffed if it's still broken when I get home. It's disconcerting to still see these kinds of quest killing bugs at the very low levels, where the content should be really well polished. Makes me a bit worried to see how broken the late game content is. Hopefully we don't have an Age of Conan situation on our hands.

Without knowing which quest specifically, my gut is that it's a problem common to all of the escort or defend type quests with NPCs getting bugged. That's mostly what I saw in beta with broken quests, at least, aside from one uncharacteristic one where the quest target to kill just flat out didn't spawn.

It's a defend quest, one of the ones the queen gives you in Arduin. People were yelling that if everyone left the area it would reset, but no one ever did, so I just logged off for the night. That of course leads me to believe it's going to get bugged against during the course of the day, so that's frown worthy.

Which quest? So far I've seen one quest (which is a very minor side quest) that seems outright broken. Every other time someone has mentioned a broken quest either abandoning/reaccepting or a log out/log in has fixed it. I know there was one last night someone mentioned a logout didn't fix it but they came back 15 minutes later and it was working.
Bugs will happen, but they have made some very big improvements since beta so that's a good sign. Chances are most of these quest issues are still related to the sheer amount of players rushing early game content. As you gain a few levels the population may thin out a little as well, resulting in less breaks.
I wouldn't worry about an Age of Conan scenario, PTS players would have mentioned bugs a lot more if this was the case. I imagine most of their "too many players" issues they've been fixing will help later too.
Mojo, Saiph, a pug (tank), and I did the first dungeon. Overall, pretty good. We fully expected to die a few times and were not dissapointed, but it was still fun. Some very hectic fights, and blocking will be a very big deal as damage starts ramping up. Also, the 3 of us were actually below recommended level, and the tank was level 15 but he didn't really seem to be carrying us. My biggest tip for the place is to stay mobile and watch out for cleaves and other such aoe attacks.

Oh, that quest. In the ruins, the northern priestess? If so, that one was bugged in the last beta and yes, you had plenty of people just sitting there presumably afk as a form of griefing.

Ah, yeah, this is one of the ones that relogging tends to fix. I don't think I've seen anyone that relogged (usually once, sometimes takes a couple tried) and it didn't fix.
Not to say it's impossible, but it's more than likely that you'll login and it'll just work. Quests, at the very least, tend to be fixed easier than in the betas, which is a vast improvement, though not the best solution.

I relogged ten or twelve times last night, and it was broken every time. So no, not really.

Speaking of horses, I saw a mod that tracks your horse feeding times...I have to feed my horse? Is he going to whither and die if I don't?
Speaking of horses, I saw a mod that tracks your horse feeding times...I have to feed my horse? Is he going to whither and die if I don't?
Nope! But you can feed your horse every 20 hours which gives him a stat increase in one of the following areas: Speed, stamina, and storage
The stat increase is permanent, though a horse can only get so many "levels". A horse that starts off at higher base stats can always get better than a horse that has lower base stats.

Why did that revelation about horse-based gaming systems just do such a good job at selling me on this game...?

So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.
OK, there has been some in-game discussion on which Cyrodiil (PvP) Campaign to join. In the previous thread, there was a lot of support for Wabbajack... which is where the goons are going. The goons are rolling Daggerfall Covenant, so we'd be going up against them.
I'm thinking of re-rolling. I was doing a Dragonknight Fire Mage build, but Force the YouTuber is doing that as well and in turn it's causing a LOT of people to play that sort of build, and I really didn't want to be the FOTM build.
Yeah it seems that maybe waiting until the full pre-order crowd is in would be a good idea. For now, all we've got is the guys who got the Imperial Edition. We just don't want to choose a dead campaign. Hell the goons have said Wabbajack is empty essentially.

The middle ones are probably even worse then. Usually it's just the higher stuff on a list fills first, and the last thing gets a bit from being first in the other direction.

I'm doing his Nightblade Bow/2H build, because it looked awesome. Though I'm waffling on 2H v DW.

Provisioning Edit: in the first 15 mins, I found 6 green L1 recipes, and nothing since...am I just having really shitty luck, or what?
I've only found two so far.
Check all nightstands, dressers and closets. Vulkhel Guard Manor (the bank in AD 1st city on Auridon) has 5 or 6 of those. I found plenty of recipes in there.
