So I found this build for Ms. (Captain) Marvel: Link!
I'm currently built similarly to that but I have 1 point in Flight of the Warbird, and more points dumped into Stellar Flare. I'm wondering if I should switch to this one, since I find I don't really use Stellar Flare most of the time.
I'll probably wait until I get Crashdown Strike before I retcon, though.
Still, she is tough. Stand-in-Electro's-face-and-beat-him-into-submission tough. I love that about her.
What do you guys recommend as far as the rest of her setup? Relics, costume affixes, artifacts, that sort of thing. Assuming I'm going with the above build (unless someone else has an alternative).
Hrm. I dunno. That looks like it focuses too much on photonics for my tastes. Radiant cascade for sure, and probably energy absorption, but I dunno about wave or photon punch.
Don't take them out of Stellar Flare for Flight. Flight is pretty horrible now after it was reduced to just Power instead of the scaling bonuses it used to be.
Really I'd probably drop the melee basic and go with the ranged one instead. Then you can load up on Energy and Ranged damage, stuff like Phoenix Feathers and what not to get your DR. I don't really think she need much in the way of spirit or either regen. She needs a good repeatable spirit spender. As it is now I don't ever run out of Spirit unless I'm just flying through a level and even then.....not really unless it's like Doom or something.
I really don't know enough about her physical build @heenato but don't ignore Photonic Wave and Crashdown just because they do energy damage. Crashdown is super hitty with full photonic energy and Wave spends Photonic so it triggers healing and 25% mitigation. Even if it did no damage and didn't stun it would be worth working into her rotation.
Actually thinking about it more I think she has a melee photonic spender but I've never used it. Her uppercut seems to spend energy. Anyways, the point is every six seconds or so you want to be crashdowning and then immediately spend your Photonic to get the mitigation and healing going.

I like the sparklefists because it works with her photonic energy. I can brutal strike (them's the big red numbers, right?) for 40k with that basic right now.

Well it does have the 25% thing but right now I'm at like 2k for physical damage rating but 4k for energy damage rating. That's a difference of 50% before we talk about the other 500 damage rating for the energy basic from a Pluvian Superconductor....that hits all her energy powers as well. The differences stack up quick because of the way they assign damage rating bonuses. That would be different if I weren't using a Cosmic Control Rod as her Legendary.
Though I wish one of her punches did energy damage because I would much rather punch dudes than zap dudes for my basic.

To echo what's already been said, Flight of the Warbird is now a one-point wonder, since it's been changed to be more like the other aura powers and thus scales terribly. Marvelbase has the old, worth maxing version listed.
I only put one point in Radiant Cascade, mainly since the recharge is so slow that I use Stellar Flare and Photonic Wave for damage and rely on Radiant Cascade primarily for damage reduction.
Speaking of which, Photonic Wave is really, really good.
So, I'm terrible at making builds. I need some advice on a build for Ms marvel. Going for melee. Only level 45 at the time, but I'm so ineffetive that I need some assistance.
I have maxed
photon punch
Kree Toughness
cosmic haymaker
Photonic wave
energy asorb
radiant cascade
crashdown strike
1 pt wonder
warbird charge
defiant escape
fight of the warbird
cosmic challenge
12 pts in infused regen
1 pt floating
you move with charge or lunge (lunge in cosmics charge everywhere else for me)
crash every time its up
photonic wave clears trash and at 100% for energy regen
haymaker is pretty much just for bosses rotating wave/crash/cascade/haymaker you shouldnt have to worry about dodging except against cosmic bosses
synergy Black Panther, Cable, Cyclops, Deadpool, Gambit, Hawkguy, Nighcrawler, Squirrel girl, taskmaster, wolverine works pretty well I have + duration stuff to extend the duration stuff + ult and current rank 12 ultimate
Bah. probably about 10 hours of grinding for the box, and it was a taskmaster's guide. At least it had reasonable rolls: 203 DR/376 ranged crit rating/346 melee crit rating and about 300 of each type of DR
Anyone know how much they go for? (or how much modok headbands cost)
So for doc:
Which one should I use? (Or i have enough UM that I could reroll a few times). (as a point of reference, I currently have 1160 crit rating, plus 500 from warlock's eye)
Also, should I this, or go and try to buy another crit damage/health o'grady/valk:
Clearly asking about it was all I needed for a good luck charm. Got a 752 area DR/932 area crit rating one (average rolls on the other stuff, but that's less important).
Now all I need is to get the slot 1 with +6 skills
Plus side if you bought a hero in the last 7 days you should auto get a bogo hero for it as well. I just picked up Mr Fantastic friday so hopefully I should have a random hero box when I get home. Chances are its probably just an ult upgrade token for me but since I am nowhere near maxed on any ults those are welcome.
Anyone know if they are planning on giving stuff away at the Marvel Games comic con panel? I'm only able to go on Saturday and since most of the other games it looks like they will talk about are the mobile ones, I want to decide if it is worth my time to check it out.
I will have to get rogue when she comes out but dang I am having a hard time finding enough buttons for mr fantastic I cannot even imagine how to hotkey enough stuff for somebody like rogue.

Brevik said they have barely any time to talk (grand total of two minutes during the Marvel games panel) and that Marvel wants them to only talk about GotG. The other panel Brevik is on is about RPGs so will be more about design. He said probably won't be any spoilers but they may give out codes for freebie that will most likely be posted on forums very soon after they are shown.
In Marvel-related news:
There's a badass promo on Marvel Unlimited right now. Use the promo code SDCC14 when you sign up, and you get 1 month for 99 cents. You can cancel right after so you aren't charged again.
Unlimited is very worth it if you haven't read comics in a long while. It sorts by series, character, events so it's pretty easy to find stuff. When you sort by event (like Infinity, Civil War, Annihilation, etc.) it also includes all the side stories and lists them in order. They recently added video and sounds to many of the comics that add things such as motion comic recaps and creator interviews.
We have final approval to release an enhanced Richard Rider costume for Nova!
These are the details of the plan as currently approved:
Nova will be released in September as I've previously announced.
As we expected, he will have his modern costume as his default (Sam Alexander) to match current comic storylines.
He will have a second Sam costume at launch. Exact one is still in discussion and approval. Likely all original.
A short time after launch we'll have an enhanced Richard Rider costume with a completely original model, dialogue and voice acting. (We are going to redo this from our original plans to make sure it's completely up to date).
All 3 costumes mentioned above will be delivered automatically to for Ultimate Pack owners, who have patiently waited for the resolution of the Richard Rider costume situation.
We'll have more teasers and info about Nova as we get closer to his official launch.
We are all incredibly happy about this and we'be been waiting for this for a long, long time.
I've kinda fallen away from this game for a bit since the 2015 update. Was really excited for raids, but it sounds like they are still in beta? Got hard to find interesting content after leveling all the heros

And for the shells, I only see the Big Kahuna and Perfect Wave items for sale. Aren't there a couple more?
When do the things stop dropping?

Seriously. Why would you even consider the second? 120ish damage rating is nice, but... it's completely outclassed on every other roll.

Now all I need is to get the slot 1 with +6 skills
ps: sugah!
Unfortunately that is looking less likely.

Not sure how to play this, as I may drop some cash to get something. Wondering what the rest of the week will bring.
TL;DR: Probably not.
