That probably tied for the weirdest Fantasy Football Draft I've ever been in. (The other one was some years ago, when Shoe drafted the Carolina kicker in the first round, and then proceeded to draft the rest of the Panthers.) I don't know why the computer would autodraft for Angry like that!

Or even the teams that put a big emphasis on Dline? Jets? Giants? Detroit? Tennessee?

I don't agree with it but I understand.

As a head coach in the NFL your job is always tenuous at best. If you sign Sam and the media attention distracts your team and you end up losing you could easily be out of a job.

It's pretty much bullshit but I can at least kind of understand the thought process behind it.

I'm a little worried about putting so much pressure on a rookie, but given how good he's been looking I can't argue. I do feel pretty bad for Schaub though.

"Attention" is an excuse. They are professional sports franchises. They want attention, particularly good media attention.

What they don't want is anything associated with The Gay. Either because they are afraid of a homophobic backlash or they themselves are homophobic and feel that merely being gay somehow construes "negative" attention. Much like, say, beating your wife. Or having a racist team name. Or being a moron and yelling, "BOMB!" in airport security.

So my money keeper league decided behind my back to not have keepers this year. I had such a huge amount of great players on my previous (championship) season that they didn't feel that it would be fair to let me keep three of them. They came together and drew lots out of a hat and I ended up with the first pick. This is the team I assembled at our draft.
