I downloaded it because it was free on Steam for a while, but haven't had the chance to fire it up yet.
I had a friend that played it back when it was Operation Flashpoint, and he said it was amazing. Is there co-op?

You might have noticed the charred thing on the floor. It came in through a window in another room, opened the door to the room I was in, screamed at me to no effect, then collapsed into a pile of ash. I also have to return to the cabin every night to drink from the well, because the water there keeps me from rotting and dying.
They really do a great job of putting that special "hellish Eastern-European creepiness" in their nighttime. The worst part? I could turn on the generator or use a torch, but I really don't want to waste the gas or the torch until something really bad happens.

More Firefall. There is a ton of Shirow Masamune influence in this game. You can see it all over the place in the chunky, rounded architecture of the futuristic stuff mixed in with the low tech shacks. I love it. It's so Dominion-esque.

Who's talking about mechanical design or who is better? I'm talking about architecture and locations. I don't care about pissing contests, the influence is obvious.
This is a quick example of what I'm talking about.
FWIW I totally see what Stormwatcher is saying, at least in that screenshot (I haven't played the game). I'd be at least some of their concept artist are Shirow fans.

having a lot of fun with the new photo mode in The Last of Us. I really need to just transfer them with a USB instead of uploading to twitter, though. the compression/resolution is ridiculous and doesn't do justice to how amazing the game looks on PS4.
My rides to date include the Sidewinder, the bog standard starting ship that harkens back to ye olde polygons. Those guns and the landing gear all retract!
The Eagle, an affordable fighter with more hardpoints than a Sidewinder, but disappointing interstellar range. Best kept in a stable near a black market if you're going to be hitting up bounties and scooping choice cargo. A fun ride.
Aaaand my new Hauler! Fresh off the factory line.
The stations can be so pretty:
Perhaps less visually impressive, but neat, is the amount of detail that goes in to the damage model. Its not cosmetic as yet, but I was seriously limping home after a fight left my panel looking like this:

How do you transfer them directly to USB ? The only thing that stops me from using the picture feature more is the fact that you have to link it to Facebook or Twitter.
I don't want to spam people, I just want nice pics to use as backdrops...

Just finished doing a D-day mission in Men of War: Assault Squad 2. Not the prettiest game but it does a fantastic job of capturing how horrific the situation was. It says something for the bleakness that 90% of our gameplay as germany was ammo management.

My Firefall character. Trying to dress up like a Space Marine. Only halfway there. Need some shoulderpads or something.
I'm not worried about those 40 B wings, crusader gunships will kill them and their proton torpedoes. What I'm worried about is those 20 MC30c frigates. They're quite skinny and difficult to target accurately, but also carry a metric fuckton of torpedoes. They will easily pop out six in a volley and pull the teeth out of larger ships. Smaller ships will die quickly as well so what I really need to do is go in with bombers...on all 20, and kill their engines, making them vulnerable to flanking. I see a lot of hit and runs to kill the rest of the Alliance.
i was planning on going through all elder scrolls titles due to my lack of a life but i couldn't manage it through arena.
it got so boring and annoying to run (runs shitty on dosbox and cant find a decent config) plus the controls are shit too. i ended up dling a cheat character with stupid stats to just plow through the game.
not even killing these lizards were enough make want to continue, so i skipped through a lets play. glad i did.
but alas! i found an amazing config for daggerfall! finally i have this beast running at blistering 60fps. so smooth and playable as all hell so i think i'll be playing this for awhile.
i can go to all those yellow areas!
holy shit each one contains millions of these. each one a place i can go to omg this is insane.
and i can buy a formal bra with spikes on it.
this guy was a massive racist though, refused to talk to me so i killed him. couldn't talk my way through the trial of that one and spent a while in jail.
oh and PIXELS HELL YEA MY GFX CARD IS ACTUALLY OVERHEATING AHAHA

After that last screenshot I turned into a Parrot and flew all the way over to that boat.
Combined with being able to swim now there's a lot more freedom than the second game in the series.
