Alright so do we plan to continue the Fancy Dinner tradition?
And start a fuckin awesome BBQ place tradition?
I second this motion.
I've been doing my research and SA is actually kinda rough for BBQ, especially near the convention center. There were two places on Texas Monthly's top 50 list last year: The Granary (not particularly close but still downtown) and Two Brothers (far). It looks like the best place is probably The Granary. We'd have to drive there, but it's texas, enough of us should have cars.

hell i lived in san antonio for 18 years i should know more places to eat but the only reason to go downtown was for a) field trips to the alamo/zoo b) spurs games c) highschool football playoffs
let me dwell on this

Also, I'm a lightweight as well, but I do love me some good food. Plenty of great places to eat. (hint: the best ones are not in the tourist tap part of the Riverwalk.)
I'm going because I've got my backer reward, but I'm kinda pissed because the 3 day passes sold out immediately and now my friends are waffling on coming.
Honestly living in San Antonio I'd be daft to not go. 15 minute drive downtown woo!
I can't believe we got through 3/5 of a QFG LP together before forum formatting (and cancer) made it a pain in the ass and I didn't know you were in SA.
I feel like a terrible person for not knowing that!

I assume we will be meeting at some point
I will endeavor to have a slice prepared for that occasion
I knew you would already have looked into this!
The Pig Stand, Sam's Burger Joint, Josephine Street Cafe are all right up the highway from the convention center
of course being downtown like that, there's no shortage of good places to grub
let me dwell on this
I will be interested in watching people get crazy drunk
But I can not compete in drinking contests, I am a severe lightweight
However I've already been awful about spending on major events

however, i can tentatively say meeting up on saturday evening would be fun and would do my best to go
yukira and mysst know how this goes though.
i usually have some form of work, school, or family obligation derail my plans.
Eeeee you're gonna be there!
All three; I figure I can knock out a heavy amount of overtime pre-PAX, so I can probably kick off one day for funsies.
@Lost Salient
PM me, I may have a dastardly plan.
DAMN IT
I'm offering to hook-up a Brosephine with some passes.
Jeez, get your minds out of the gutter, GAWD.
what's the BYOC situation?
Well yeah but you better go because drinks and funtimes.
When you buy the passes it asks if you would like them to email you to let you know BYOC reg is open.
heck bring your posse from east too, you guys were a blast
what dates should I book flights for.
hmmm
You too!!!!! And everybody else!!

I really enjoyed that QFG LP though.
No yellow allowed?
I realized I'd never told the story on here, so I wrote it up in the awkward thread.
