Honestly, I'm a higher likelihood bail, so feel free to organize on a different date if that's a bad one and I'll just try to make it.

What is this I don't even.

Do we wear name tags or something? I'm going to be really confused when chanus doesnt look like Joe Lewis and Darkewolfe isn't a dog.

Get drunk, air grievances, then have feats of strength until the bartender puts our pictures under the bar next to the "banned for life" sign

    Alright, official check, then:

Is anyone fundamentally opposed to our first event just being a, "Let's all meet at a bar and play some bar games/darts whatever, drink and air grievances?"

I was originally trying to be more inclusive in case we had non-drinkers, but it's really fucking easy to just say, "Meet at H Street Country Club for mini-golf, then Shamrock and Star for deli sandwiches and whiskey till one of us passes out."

Please note: I am very old and probably don't even know what bars are good anymore.

Nope. Stick with the plan. There will be future meet ups so it's not the end of the world if people can't make it to this one.

I will be less likely to make anything on a Saturday only because I don't have what Quid calls a "real job" and am needed 95% of the weekends for work but I'll know closer to the 6th.

So who would want to play what?

I've got Cards Against Humanity with nearly all the expansions, Dominion, Ladies and Gentlemen, Quelf, Scrabble, Castle Ravenloft, and a few others.

Chanus has a test kit for 5e and could probably be prodded in to making a one off if we prod him.

    Prod.

    Prod.

    Man prod's a weird word.

I just got a job in DC.

I move September 1st (hopefully) and this is just like the best news. I'm so in if I'm actually there by then.

Grats! If you need help with the moving stuff or whatever, let us know.
Also I know its Baltimore, but @InkSplat is...on the same coast pretty much.

Cards Against Humanity has my vote.

Unfortunately the 6th is my son's birthday, so, while I might consider making the trip for a future one, definitely won't be this one. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for the offers to help me unpack, folks.

It's official. We're up there by the 4th at the latest. If things are still to hectic I'll have to pass on this one, but it would be a great way to meet people so I'm going to try to attend.

I'm sure this thread will eventually be a lot of me going "So, what can I do cheaply?" - so heads up for that...

it's not free, it's $6.00, and it's in Front Royal

and it's not amazing and they aren't real dinosaurs

and some of the facts have been disproved in the last 30 years since they updated the park

    but it's fun?
