So what IPs would that leave Daybreak owning? Surely they must have some kind of revenue stream to remain solvent right?
Pretty sure it is just EQ and EQ2 at this point
They have EQ, EQ2, PS2, H1Z1, and DCUO as I recall.
Ostensibly those make money.
They also recently signed a deal with Standing Stone Games, a new indie developer made of ex-Turbine devs, and a deal to keep D&D Online and LOTR Online going without WB involved.
So D&DO and LotRO will probably get shut down in a few months then, if Daybreak's record is anything to go by
Yeah I was super-hyped for what EQ Next was supposed to be, but when it just died and all that was left was Landmark, I pretty much wrote it off entirely.

Or they stay open as long as theres enough profit to keep the lights on. With very little added in the way of content.....

DDO Is/was a pretty good time. It probably still has a (small) dedicated player base as there is nothing else out there quite like it.
That it was, though IMO it was at its best when you were with a group of friends who had all never done the dungeon you were heading in to before. Game fucking shined during that.
A Capellan's favorite sheath for any blade is your back.
So, this took me a little longer than I thought it would, but I finally got around to it. I edited all my videos and screenshots from the final days of Landmark and put them online! For awhile I was too busy to have time, and after that I was too sad about Landmark ending to want to dwell on it. I really loved the game (or at least, the dream of the game), and it took awhile before I stopped getting ideas for things to do in Landmark and then remembering I couldn't. Anyway, with Fortnite, a much more promising (although utterly different) building game coming out tomorrow, it's finally time to put Landmark to rest.
Here's all my stuff! I made a "Spooky Maze Race" build for the Halloween event, and it turned out really well. I have 3 videos of that, plus two screenshot albums. I also have a "Goodbye Landmark" video that's me wandering around the game looking at things and being in shock that it's all about to be gone forever.
@Kylindra , everything you made looks so cool, and just makes me even more frustrated and disappointed that the plug was pulled on this game. I guess we can all only hope that someone else looks at the concepts explored here and goes, "Yes, let's do this" and tries again.

Presumably, so did almost everyone else.

I will never forget going exploring away from the group while they were debating a puzzle and returning screaming about all the friends I'd made.

Goodbye, Landmark. It was fun while it lasted.
