Man people are allowed to not like Young Avengers, no reason to go ugh about it
I am not a huge fan myself! I liked the first few issues but quickly lost interest when it once again revolved around Wiccan and introduced a bunch of meta textual bullshit
I have no problem with people not liking Young Avengers, like what you like, different tastes and all that
Then why go "Ugh" when Solar said it wasn't interesting?
Like, people going "ugggggh" or whatever when people like or don't like something is one of my pet peeves
People have different tastes, don't be jerky about it
That's exactly my point! You can say you don't like something without implying it's objectively bad or uninteresting or whatever, but people seem to do this a fair bit, which is shitty
"Actually being interesting" is what I was ugh-ing at
I am typically okay with it whenever it is done in a comedic capacity as long as it isn't the only type of joke being told (like, 22 Jump Street vs. Abed in the latter seasons of Community)
But you make it a major part of the plot and I immediately lose all interest unless it is something like JiM where the characters and their nature as objects of legend and myth are inherently built in
Wiccan striding across comic panels was basically everything I didn't want out of YA

Well presumably he meant he didn't find it interesting? I don't think he was making a sweeping objective statement.
Captain America #23
Guardians of the Galaxy #18
Hawkeye #11 (the pizza dog one or whatever)
Moon Knight #2
the digital code on Moon Knight is faded and split between the actual page and the sticker i ripped off and i am going CRAZY trying to figure out what the code is

Those are all good comics
Guardians will probably be a little confusing because it deals with the ending of DnA's run as opposed to continuing Bendis'
you need to get Moon Knight #5
it is literally The Raid: Moon Knight Edition

They had Moon Knight 2 and 6, and I figured with a choice between just two of them I should just get the earlier one even though they're supposedly pretty self-contained
Also my dad grabbed a full collection of "The New Invaders"?

or
cause the former is pretty good and the latter bloooows
There's an Avengers series you all have been talking about a lot
There's another one that was specifically recommended to me
I cannot for the life of me recall what either one are, and when I was at the comic shop it was impossible to guess which ones were which because there were like 5 different series' called "[Adjective] Avengers"

Probably Secret Avengers as it is spy bullshit with MCU people

Young Avengers took a similar swipe during Gillen's run
although, I do feel that that YA series was not perhaps the best basis for Marvel to be launching criticism (however well founded) at DC!
Why
YA has some issues, you know I'm not a fan, but it didn't have any of the massive host of problems DC is dealing with
true, I just feel that maybe YA should have spent a little less time on references and more on, you know, actually being interesting

Hickman and Weaver each got too busy with other stuff, but the last two issues are being finished soonish now
Tell me how I did, I got

The punk rock ghosts was another favorite of mine
Wondering how the series will compare post-Ellis
It isn't bad at all, but Declan Shavely is one of my favorite artists working today and Smallwood just ain't hitting those notes
Also my dad grabbed a full collection of "The New Invaders"?

My dad looooooooooves the Invaders, I guess
I'm not entirely sure who they are but hey there's Captain America
he was Steve's government issued replacement when he gave up the mantle
aaagh
my brain is split directly in half between hating that and loving that
also he used to look like this:
I forget
it's something real dumb
but some people really like him in the same way people think Judge Dredd is a model of what law enforcement should be and that is upsetting
