Thank you for coming to this thread, which is about the video game Destiny™, made by Bungie®, the developers of Halo™. There is a new expansion out imminently. What does it have? Not a gosh-darn raid, that's for sure!!!!

Trials of Osiris

In Trials of Osiris, three-player Guardian Fireteams face one another in Elimination-style combat. The more wins a Fireteam strings together, the greater their rewards. Only the most skilled Fireteams will reach the pinnacle of glory, but all who enter will have the opportunity to claim weapons and gear to bolster their might.

Prison of Elders

The Prison of Elders is a combat arena hidden deep within the Reef. Under the care of the Variks, the Prison of Elders will challenge Guardians in aggressive combat scenarios meant to test their teamwork and skill. Those Guardians who prove themselves against the Prison's onslaught will earn the riches of the Queen’s realm as bounty.

I don't know, Horde Mode???

They're doing some other stuff too, like letting you upgrade your armors to the highest tier and also maybe doing something to prevent trivializing old content? I don't know I'm not a game designer. Also you don't have to wear your fuck-ugly Crota gear anymore (this is important)

Always remember: despite all the time you've spent playing this game, levelling up, and upgrading your equipment, you will never overcome the deep, existential dread you feel in your darkest moments, that everything - the entirety of your life's experience - might ultimately be devoid of meaning. Should I save my strange coins on the Helm of Saint-14

The blinding upgrade seems extremely situational, and The Glasshouse seems like it'd be more useful

I just burned through all my coins and motes of light to buy exotics to dismantle

at this point i have my exotic helmet which is all I want/need and just want to stockpile shards for when I get raid gear so I can speed level it up

I can't see myself replacing this exotic robe for Sunsinger, I wouldn't mind getting a Voidwalker oriented piece of armor however.

This is the best social experience (outside of the ones I have with people I know) that I've had in Destiny so far

I went to an area waiting for a public event to happen and got there a few minutes early, another guy on top of a plane wing

Ran up to him and waved and he waved back

Sat down

He sat down next to me

We had a little sit-down party until the public event happened, killed the target, dance with each other for a few seconds, waved, and both went to orbit

Goodbye, temporary companion

I like Voidwalker more because I'm a pretty crucible oriented guy but I think Sunsinger is OBJECTIVELY better for PVE because self-reviving owns

I haven't got a single purple or gold drop outside of queen missions and i've probably played for like 50 hours

I was halfway to level 2 in crucible rep last night so I thought if I turned in 5 bounties and played for 2 hours I would go up and be able to buy armor to make it to 27 for raiding on the weekend.

Turns out level 2 is not 1000 but 2000 points, so that effort only got me like another quarter of the way there :bigfrown:

On the plus side though it turns out bubble defender is actually really awesome in crucible because it has a secret effect of turning guardian's brains to mush and requiring them to run into the bubble and attempt to fisticuff you to death in your own blue paradise

I was routinely getting 3 kills per bubble

I love using the damage reduction buff to Ward of Dawn for this very reason.

Yes enemy team, send your three or four guys into my bubble. I've got fists in your teeth for everyone.
