I'm not aware of any ban on indie game threads? I was gonna post it in that thread but then found it was closed.
it was closed because of GG talk and another thread was not allowed to open because it was dominating the thread/board and tube didn't want the headache.
meanwhile, I've been trying to get certificates 1 and 3 in Froggy, don't know how. Losing all my lives without catching a single bug seems to not be a solution.
Googling the game's name brought me to the blog of a woman posting about how this is her first game and she's amazed at its reception and it all seems completely legit which is exactly what they'd want us to think, isn't it

And yeah you can't blame someone for not knowing about everything, but if you make a Flash game about a frog eating bugs with a really quirky presentation and a seemingly ridiculously self-serious narrative, people are gonna draw comparisons. I'm actually more surprised we've yet to see a flood of games pretending to be Frog Fractions 2 and trying to cash in. Either way, even if it's just a total coincidence, the game is cool enough to warrant attention and 15 minutes of your time.

They do an hour long stream every Thursday on the Indiemegabooth twitch channel. A bunch of the devs will talk while one of them animates or draws new characters. Cool stuff.

The reason it became a meme is that Frog Fractions 2 was kickstarted, and part of the concept of Frog Fractions 2 is that nobody knows what Frog Fractions 2 is. The game's developer literally won't let anyone know where the game is or what it is until it's independently discovered. Essentially, anything that comes out could be Frog Fractions 2.
Hence endless "[x] is Frog Fractions 2" jokes.
