I'd eat the one in the promo picture.

I'd probably throw up on the real one.

I would eat it and only regret it later because KFC chicken gives me the raging shits.

Honestly though it doesn't look bad at all. Chicken with a hot dog, throw some onions on there and you've got an interesting morsel.

Makes sense. Also, for anyone not at the Giant Bomb panel at PAX south or familiar with Giant Bomb at all, this man said nobody in that theater would make better food than KFC.

Japan having a different promotion burger every month in McDonalds is something I miss.

Not sure why the US doesn't have as much fun with it.

probably because the US is so much bigger and distribution/the process would cost way more than they would make.

McDs has the Triple Cheeseburger now. Three patties, two slices of cheese, all the regular toppings.

Here it costs $2.50. You can get two McDoubles for $2.00

for those following at home that means you can basically get an entire extra hamburger for $.50 less.

I think Son of Baconator is a better burger than the Baconator. The smaller portions let the flavours mingle with each other more

If I stop at McDonald's for food, I always go with the Double Cheeseburger over the McDouble for a similar reason. The Double Cheeseburger just tastes better, and it comes down to the meat to cheese ratio. That extra slice of cheese really makes a difference.

I imagine the Triple Cheeseburger would taste better than the double McDouble for the same reason (3/2 ratio vs. 2/1).

I actually prefer the Daily Double with no onions add bacon.

Pretty much my go-to sandwich is a BLT cheeseburger with mayo. That's basically all I want on the bun.

It took me years to actually eat the original Double Down.

No KFC near me carried it. I have no idea why, but it was impossible to get one of the damn things.

When it was first announced, my friend and I rode around Atlanta trying to find it at various KFCs, but it was still a limited release then (which the first two KFCs didn't bother telling us, they just looked at us like we were mad).

We nicknamed it the death sandwich, because we were sure it was going to kill us (years later we discovered this was a common nickname for it, even making it into the urban dictionary).

After moving from Atlanta, I lived in a place with no KFCs, and then moved to a place that only had one and it was a tiny one that was half-KFC and half-Taco Bell so it had a limited menu of each. When visiting places, I'd occasionally try to stop at a KFC but they'd never have them for some reason.

Finally, on my 30th birthday, I decided it was time to track that sandwich down. I tried a KFC that had previously not had them, and lo and behold they actually had them now. So I finally got to eat the death sandwich.
    It immediately made me sick.

I texted my friend from Atlanta something like "After X years, I finally completed my quest and ate that damned sandwich."

Now it looks like I have a new quest.

I remember my local KFC was giving away Double Down sandwiches for free if you ordered something else...I guess to try and hook you in or something.

They closed down a few months later

    Also the sandwich hurt

When I'm out and about and absolutely cannot get home by lunch then I will generally look for one of two options: Subway or Panda Express.

    I like Panda Express.

I haven't been to one in a long time though.

Subway is a little dicey. That mayo sitting out at room temperature grosses me out.

For sandwich chains, I like Quiznos.

Please try a Quizno's instead of Subway. Your mouth and your butt will both thank you.
