If it will satisfy you, which is won't, then I will answer your question posthaste. My laptop monitor is broken, so I have it plugged into a monitor that is not of laptop origin. The socket in the back of my laptop that connects to said monitor is broken. Hence, my monitor is flashing RED 255 + BLUE 255 with out the GREEN! I am constantly bombarded by pink/fushia/purple pain! The only way to fix it is to jerk the cord (ooooh boy), but it won't stay fixed. I have determined this is slowly driving me INSANE. Along with 7 hours of a nonsensical machinima and the funny way this one stand up comic talks, I can't think normally any longer. Suffice it to say, I am not normal.
