Could SNL return to being Sofa King great?
Posts
An SE on SNL? It'll be canceled for sure!
Well, sometimes you just get overacting hacks who can't quite make theater getting into SNL. Maya Rudolph anyone.
i saw the mathew fox one

That Conan speech is gold
You know, what's even worse is the "it's Mattress King great" sounded forced and unnatural, the result being that a lot of the uses of "Sofa King" as an adjective also sounded forced. A double entendre doesn't work if the "intended" or "straight" interpretation of the double entendre sounds more far-fetched than the "unintended" or "humorous" interpretation.
Tired joke --> Unfunny twist
Nice
I don't even know why I bother

If Andy Kaufman is not in an SNL thread, it should barely count as an SNL thread. The man was hilarious.
This was quite a funny episode.
Especially playing that same little bit of the Imogen Heap song over and over again. Made me laugh a lot. At work, even.
My first thought was "Baloney" but I think you're right. I can remember maybe 4-5 times watching in the last 5-6 years and most of the time it was junk. The great episodes I loved were the 80's and 90's.
Moleculo was a great sketch (Although Conan can make the funny from anything). I also personally loved the Martin Short episode... the one with Jackie Robbins, Jr. was absolutely insane and hilarious.
