one of my teachers in high school lived through a school shooting when he was a teenager. apparently he was in the locker room with the shooter before he went out and killed some people.

What the hell guys? Knowing when to use a concealed firearm and 'packin' heat cause some fuckers are crazy' are in no manner the same thing. As long as you can legally buy a handgun or rifle easily in the US, you should educate yourself on proper handling. Not carrying a gun when someone starts shooting up a public area only gives you the option of hiding and hoping you won't get a hole made in your face.
