That was Vince Russo's way to draw interest in WCW.
How the hell was this man still working in the wrestling business 15 years later?
Nobody knows. There's a lot of mystery behind why people hired, and then kept hiring, Vince Russo. Even recently one company risked its entire future (both TV and in general) just because they wanted to keep Russo around. It's fucking baffling.
He can point to the Attitude Era and take full credit for it. He's lived off that for 16 years.
That would make sense if him being a big part of killing WCW wasn't so prominent in a business that had two big companies at the time and now only one because he helped kill one of them. Fucking up WCW is a huge story in wrestling and it's not like the business is large enough for people in charge of a wrestling company don't know what kind of fuck up Russo is.
Russo would say (correctly I might add) that Time Warner killed WCW. Of course that doesn't excuse business still going in the toilet during both his tenures but I guess Dixie Carter never fact checked anything.

Imagine if TNA hadn't gotten the Destination America deal. Vince Russo could have been responsible for the deaths of two companies. Does he ever see employment in another wrestling company again if that happens?
So the aftermath was even a bigger clusterfuck than the PPV with Sting being stripped of the title (yeah Goldberg wasn't champ) due to attacking Robinson and a massive tournament was held. It was awful.
But now Im watching NXT and I realized Ive never gotten to see Emma wrestle and not just job and suddenly I'm crazy excited to see her and Bayley wrestle.
That NXT brought me down to earth to some degree, I think. What with RAW being so good at being RAW on Monday (aside from the main event), this NXT was pretty just okay. Glad I got to see more of Itami and Breeze, and that Becky Lynch promo was good, but the matches themselves were just good.
And if that's the worst part of NXT, that it's just good, I can deal with that

I just finished the match with Bayley, it was pretty good. But I highly recommend you watch her match with Paige at the first NXT live special. It was incredible.

Jeff only loves things from when he was a teenager, I thought this was well established?
It's weird. I like listening to Jeff, and I think he's well spoken and knowledgeable. But most of the time, I completely disagree with him and think he ends up coming off as too bitter/cynical.
This week's GiantBomb spends like twenty minutes talking about wrestling at the start. Aside from wondering how many non-fans skipped this section, it did reveal that Jeff prefers storylines over the wrestling itself, and thinks the Attitude era was the best, which explains his general ambivalence to the product now.
The only wrestling shirt I own is a Daniel Bryan shirt. When Smackdown rolls into town, I'll probably pick up a Rollins shirt. And then I'll have...two wrestling shirts.

I own...many, many wrestling t-shirts. Back when WWE still came through Toronto, I would buy two shirts every time I went.

She's not like, overtly evil, and her frustrations make a billion percent sense. It's really good.
Also lol at Breeze, "I didn't say yes!"
