I'm pretty sure the Duffer bros said season 2 would be a continuation of season 1's story following a time jump of X amount of months. Also, I just started watching The Flash on Netflix. Despite some not great acting, it's leagues better than any of the movies DC's been putting out lately.
I'm also super glad I have a 3 day weekend(trying to finagle a 4 day ) because Narcos season two is Friday! Woo!
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.

We really enjoyed Flash season 1. We haven't seen season 2 yet.
I love that Barry and Oliver basically do the Clark and Bruce thing perfectly.
I'm in the middle of season 4 now and am obviously hooked. Random thoughts so far:
- Wow is this show depressing. People are rarely happy and constantly surrounded by death. It is quite the daily reminder for the viewer
- I have never seen a show with more future stars in it. Aside from the main characters, almost every random one-off character is an actor/actress that I've seen more recently in movies and major roles in TV shows. The quality of acting is consistently high and paired with the solid writing it creates a great show.
- It blows my mind that this show was on 12-15 years ago. It addresses some strong subjects and does so in a really forward thinking way. These guys were definitely ahead of their time.
- Please can someone be happy in this show?

Awesome! Glad you're enjoying it. Let me know when you hit that finale. It's a beautiful swan song.
Rake is an excellent Australian show, centered on Cleaver Greene, a criminal defense barrister. Great at the job, but he's got a lot problems in his personal life. Self-destructive behaviour, gambling and other addictions.
It's pretty funny, and light-hearted most of the time.
There was an American remake that only lasted for one season (which I haven't seen), but the original is supposedly far superior.
I assume it's on the American Netflix, I get it here in Ireland though so I can't say for sure. Definitely worth checking out at least the first episode.
I think I'm literally the only person that enjoyed the American version. Kinnear was great. Hadn't seen the aus version, so wasn't comparing to anything, just liked it.
And Spring Breakers is probably peak Franco. So great.
Every week Bill Nye has someone ridiculous on like anti-vaxxers and pretends he's going to have a discourse with them.
Then he dumps a bucket of slime on them while a musical number plays explaining how dumb they are.
Nothing. Matters.

I like this new bug on the Netflix homepage about "23 TV shows and movies added this week" because that's what you want to pimp....it's just that there's no link to what the shows and movies are, instead just trying to make me watch an original Larry the Cable Guy and Jeff Foxworthy special.

Or maybe just H. Jon Benjamin going, "Womp womp."

I couldn't sleep last night, so I hopped on Netflix and watched Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.
So in addition to insomnia, I was up at 2am crying to a Hollies song and feeling utterly alone in the world. :?
If you liked that, I would recommend 'Last Night' with Sandra Oh.
Seeking a Friend feels like a loose remake, because they address pretty much the same issues, but 'Last Night' is way, way more low-key. It's a movie where, you watch it, and you just need to go hug someone.
"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor My new novel: Maledictions: The Offering. Now in Paperback!
I don't know if it was a recent addition to Netflix.ca but stumbled across Marvel Knights: Black Panther today. It was an enthralling and at times thought provoking story of revenge and bad assery that didn't shy away from death, set to some terrible animation and that at turns would suddenly become wonderful, in a very engaging style. I finished all the episodes pretty quickly, I wonder if there will be more.

Is anyone having login trouble with the netflix website? you try and log in and hit enter and it needs to be reentered about 3 times to actually lo me in. I don't know if there's a gremlin in the machine because the categories for genres is also not registering when clicked.
And this is something that seems to be actually going through after working out all the details, Lionsgate is buying the movie channel Starz for $4.4 billy, a channel that is primarily a Sony/Columbia and Disney first run pay channel. But Lionsgate also has a deal with Epix (who get first run Paramount/Lionsgate films), which is being used by Hulu, so I wonder what's going to happen when all is said and done, because one thing Lionsgate has is a large share on VOD films that are kind of a staple of streaming services to fill out the library.
They'll probably try their hand at a service no one wants.
Getting pretty tired of these "We have rights to like one show and people will get our whole network for it!" people. As much as I dislike Amazon Prime's interface and think that they're kinda sketchy overall, they have the right idea about pitching new shows/features and making sure you get your money's worth.
I pay like $40 a month for Hulu, Netflix and Amazon (with STARZ, incidentally) total, less than half of what I was paying for cable (which I used less). I'm not interested in cranking up that ratio by buying each show a la carte.

Some put it on their own app but don't charge, I guess it's just their way of controlling the ad revenue, that I'm okay with as long as they make the app work on everything (looking at you Disney). If I can't watch it on my Xbox or FireTV, it doesn't count.

I'm still salty about HBO NOW not working on my PS4.

I turns out that Matt Murdoch's maternal grandpa was in the IRA.

Family Tree was rather average on HBO so I'm hoping a return to his usual style fixes those problems.
Dale and Tucker Vs. Evil is so unexpectedly good it could win best British film out of those selections.
Shit, that was highly enjoyable.

Yeah, I've seen the whole thing three times now and I still can't help but get emotional during the final musical montage.
Yeah or HBO Go if you've got it.
Savor it your first time through. It's really great.
Oh cool, I have hbo go access, no need for amazon
