Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Anthology Graphology: a submissions challenge thread
Quoththe RavenMiami, FL FOR REALRegistered Userregular
This thread is dedicated to informing you, YES YOU, of new and exciting opportunities to be paid for your writing. But it's not just any old stuff, mais non*. We're gonna write for THEMED ANTHOLOGIES.
Here's how it will work:
I'll find farm-fresh free-range anthologies accepting submissions in the near future.
I'll post the details here so everyone can peep at them.
I'll create threads in the private forum where people can post stories, one thread per anthology.
We'll critique each other's work and make it AWESOME.
We'll submit en masse to the anthologies and see what unfolds.
As always, participation is entirely voluntary. Deadlines will be noted in the post for the anthology, as well as reproduced in the private thread.
If you'd like to write something but not submit it, that's entirely up to you. The goal here is to bridge the gap between fun times prompt writing and serious business paid work. Anthologies are a great way to test your limits for pleasure AND profit.
If you want to discuss your ideas and progress for each anthology submission, please do so in that particular anthology's thread.
Cake** and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of each test.
*If you want general calls for submissions, hit the website in my signature, because I'm too lazy to be constantly cross-posting.
**The cake is a lie.
