Lego Dimensions is out now. It's Lego's toys to life game
You play as Various characters and collect doodads and build stuff. It's standard Lego gameplay with a few twists but that's not really the draw here.
The Main course as it were is the Lego figures you collect. They have everything from Doc Brown to The Doctor and even Chima if for some reason you care about Chima
the initial 99 dollar set for all current consoles is 99 bucks and comes with Batman Gandalf and Wyldstyle and the portal device
There are 3 types of booster sets
Funpacks include a figure and vehicle and will unlock a dimension for story mode.
Team packs include a pair of minifigs and a vehicle or gadget. As with the fun packs, these can be used to unlock a dimension.
Level packs include a minifig, a vehicle and a gadget. They also include a mission-based game level. These also grant you an extra mission-focused level to play and unlock the dimension for open-world play.
Team and fun packs are 14.99 Level packs are 24.99

Comes with Andy Dwyer, some dude, a frikkin Raptor and a Gyrosphere
Build Owen and the ACU Trooper and place them on the LEGO® Toy Pad to launch them into the LEGO® DIMENSIONS™ multiverse. Use their weapons and activate their powerful special abilities to battle enemies and solve exciting puzzles. When things get tough, send in Owen’s Velociraptor and the ACU Trooper’s Gyrosphere, and then rebuild them for upgraded abilities in the game. Rebuild the Velociraptor into a Spike Attack Raptor and Venom Raptor. Rebuild the Gyrosphere into a Sonic Beam Gyrosphere and Speed Boost Gyrosphere. More are releasing pretty much every month for quite some time including frikkin Ghostbusters and I assume everything Chris Prat has ever been in. Like seriously he's in here like 4 times guys.
The beauty of this set up is you don't need to buy every figure just the stuff you want and the worlds themselves are unlockable through normal gameplay so nothing is really gated except bonus content. More exciting is the possibility of official non dimension sets for these properties so yeah let that stew.
So let's talk about how this thread set us all back at least 200 bucks and the subtle hints that the game is part of that simpson episode where homer gets loopy on insanity peppers
