How do I drink soda while lying flat on my back (without drowning)?

I want to drink a can of soda while lying flat on my back, but after 30 years of research I have been unable to figure out how to do this without either potentially drowning myself or spilling soda all over the bed/couch/floor/person I happen to be lying on. Is there some kind of structure I can obtain or build through which a beverage can be safely consumed while my body is parallel with the earth, and my head faces the sun or stars?

a long straw would handle the 'getting liquid into your mouth' bit

it's relatively difficult to swallow without at least raising your head though, since you're working against gravity.

You may want to spend a bit more, that one isn't rated for rectal use....assuming you want to dual purpose it.

Though I wouldn't recommend consuming soda in that form.
