And I don't see this becoming a palpmobile because of cost. The base ship is more expensive than the base lambda+palp. That limits what else you can field with it too much.

You're paying for the 4 dice and 2 extra HP as well. I think the named pilots are better than the Lambda at least.
You could also do silly things like:
Kylo Ren (34) Emperor Palpatine (8)
"Wampa" (14)
Scimitar Squadron Pilot (16) Extra Munitions (2) Advanced Homing Missiles (3) Guidance Chips (0)

Running in store games has really been working for X-Wing so far. I've managed to get more than a few people interested in the game and already am building a small community of X-Wing players in store. Some of these new ships, like Kylo-Ren's shuttle, will be fantastic additions to the game. I can't wait to get one for myself :P Especially the ship that changes where you can deploy your tie fighters initially, which might be a good counter to the Han from Heroes of the Resistance that can place himself anywhere.
Also, I am super curious as to what the dial for this ship actually looks like because that might be a key decider for people going for this as a palpmobile or going for the lambda shuttle.
It was 150 points all month.
For week 1 I think I flew: Dash Rendar (36) Push the Limit (3) Heavy Laser Cannon (7) Kyle Katarn (3) Engine Upgrade (4) Outrider (5)
After that, I switched to Imperials: Colonel Vessery (35) Veteran Instincts (1) Tractor Beam (1) Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1) TIE/D (0)
"Omega Leader" (21) Juke (2) Comm Relay (3)
The Inquisitor (25) Push the Limit (3) Proton Rockets (3) Autothrusters (2) TIE/v1 (1)
"Wampa" (14) Shield Upgrade (4)
Omicron Group Pilot (21) Sensor Jammer (4) Emperor Palpatine (8)
Total: 149
Nothing ground-breaking, but a pretty flexible and fun list to fly.
I won week 2 150-0 (unfortunately my opponent was quite new to xwing), I won week 3... 150-0 against someone much more seasoned than my first opponent (who usually ends up in the top 4 each month), and finally faced my then-undefeated "nemesis" in the final round and beat him 126-0. I finished the month with a MoV of 1002... And made a couple people a bit salty about tractor beams on the way...

Not 100% sure on the FCS on Guri, but everything else is correct.
It can be a pretty tough list to beat when it gets going, but I managed to isolate N'Dru early and tractor beamed him onto debris in the first round of shooting. It also meant the next turn he was guaranteed a second stress, so he never got his missiles off.
Guri got her torpedoes off on the Inquisitor, but I was able to fire prockets and with Vessery first to force her to burn her focus, so he only rolled a couple hits.
Luck was really on my side too, since I managed to land a Major Explosion that resulted in a Direct Hit.

Just dropping to ask a question. I enjoy following this thread on X-wing. I have a good collection, unfortunately, I don't have enough opportunity to get it to the table.
I'm also playing Imperial Assault. Is it me or there is no thread dedicated to Imperial Assault. Considering there is one for X-wing and Armada, I was wondering if my research skills were bad or something.
There is not one for Imperial Assault. It hasn't really had enough discussion about it to warrant its own thread. So any conversation about it has been through the general Board Games thread.
I imagine it's because it's primary mode of play is the campaign mode, and I dunno how many people play skirmish regularly.

Not sure how many people are interested in big tournament lists, but Paul Heaver is running this Scum list:
Oh also, apparently one of our local boys is undefeated on the day, currently 6-0.
Nice guy. Have been destroyed by his girlfriend at a couple of the smaller local tournaments. :-P
Edit2: I guess he is flying a Palpmobile with two TIE Defenders!

as long as both sides used those dice in a friendly game I'd be ok with it. They are awesome.
I haven't played forever and I'm playing a casual game against a friend trying a new list out. Is this idea just dumb? I realized I botched up any chance at synergy.
I wound up with a Phantom, BTL Y, A, A list vs Han, Keyan, Z-95. It ended in a 1v1 from Gemmer and Han and Gemmer getting blown into space dust. I know what tweaks to make and how I'd run a similar list next time.
Apparently the U-wing is a large base with standard firing arc and some interesting stuff going on.
It's a style of ship I happen to enjoy flying quite a lot.

Most interesting statistic from that infographic: only 300 pounds of fries consumed with nearly 1000 players on hand (plus, presumably, some kind of support staff).

So it's been awhile since I played, but since my last games, things have happen. A comic/LFG opened up in my town, which means that they are doing things like M:TG and 40k, but they are also slowly getting together some X-wing groups. Anyways, the last time I played, the Inquisitor's TIE was coming out, so... what's the meta looking like now? What are the combos to watch and what Imperial/First Order ships I might need to get my hands on?

Well triple contracted scouts was just hard nerfed and the meta is still mostly reforming still.
Dengar and Manaroo is a pretty popular scum list. Also Imperial Aces with Palpatine is still prominent.

Means that you can have several ships set up at range 3 of the edge with either a focus or an evade.
Full Spoiler:

The last card is Ion Projector. That's weird that they spoiled all of the new cards.
doesn't work like that
Yeah. Omega Ace works with it though I think.

are there any cards in there that haven't been spoiled already?
I...
I uh... I came in first last night in the local league for this month!
First time taking first, and first time ever beating the same player I've met in the final round of the last 3 or so months.
Pretty sure it's all been spoiled.

paul heaver didn't win????????
how did I not hear about this sooner?
Didn't win X-Wing and Imperial assault (didn't he won both last year?)
PSN: Guibs25 | XboxLive: Guibs | Steam: Guibsx | Twitch: Guibsx
he definitely won x-wing last year, not sure about imperial assault?
he definitely came first or second
anyway looks like the winner this year was flying a Dengaroo list which is pretty surprising, second place looks like Corran Horn and Miranda Doni
strange, if the meta shifted back to that kind of grindy two-ship list, I'd have thought Heaver would do really well since that's basically his jam
It didn't generate any discussion so I changed it :-P
I apparently did not notice! I actually kind of forgot about X-wing that weekend, I was focused on netrunner and thrones
