Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Classic Action Devilish is the latest wacky game for the Nintendo DS, and it's here in the US. Combining such cohesive elements such as fantasy, pinball, breakout, and the Pulitzer-prize worthy story noted above, this game transcends the boundaries of description.
This game rocks out like few others. It also came to the Game Gear. Everyone must own it ASAP.
UFO Interactive should be canonized for bringing this and Raiden III to the US.
Anal retentive nitpick: I don't know if I'd call it the latest wacky game for the Nintendo DS, the DS game came out in Japan two years ago.
"You know how Batman hangs people over the edge of buildings and gets them to spill information. That's Neo Rasa's way of it, but instead of information, he just likes to see people suffer." ~Senor Fish
Holy shit you already have it? I'm hitting Best Buy tomorrow.
I doubt there was a street date on a minor release like this.
Also The Red Star supposedly ships Wednesday.
Anyways anyone that doesn't get this game is a chump.

I sort of remember this game from back when. Think this is a purchase, hopefully not a regrettable one.
HEY. Hijack. What was that japanese semi-platforming DS game (think it had a weird gameplay twist or something, maybe it wasn't actually a platformer) that looked kind of japanese-y & cutesy & maybe starred a witch & a sidekick? It was all over the internet when the DS first launched but I haven't heard or seen anything of it since, don't think it came out in the US. It wasn't... this... was it?
Best Buy has this now. I have this now. Everyone should buy this now.
It doesn't totally rock out like the Genesis game but it's very fun.

Wait, in what way is it not as good as the Genesis game?
Hell, I thought it was supposed to be an updated port.
The music foolishly attempts to be taken seriously rather than to be taken for totally rocking out like the Genesis soundtrack.
Outside of that it's just as good. The levels have a little more trickery to them and you can angle the upper panel eight different ways instead of three (you can have it facing downwards which is awesome for literally surrounding bosses).
I'm glad that the awkwardness of the original's storyline is intact. The primary antagonist is still The Satan.

is it out already?
It's supposed to be out sometime this week, but I picked it up at Best Buy. Saw the one and only copy there and snagged it instantly.
Guess they might've broke the street date. 8-)

That's...
AWESOME!

It was announced at E3 2004.
You have to love the helpful text in that video.
"DEFEAT THE BOSS!"
Thanks, I never would've thought of that
edit: Hey, that's not pinball at all! Still looks interesting, though.
Why aren't there more DS pinball games? Metroid Pinball was great.
I've gotta get it. Fuck me.
