If I remember correctly, someone involved with the game said it wasn't going to be released in America because they thought too many feminists would criticize it or something, leading GamerGaters to freak out about SJW censorship.

Late last year a post made by Dead or Alive publisher Koei Tecmo's social media manager on Facebook suggested that DOAX3 wouldn't be launching in the US due to issues regarding "the treatment of women in gaming."

Here's a rundown of how this shit's gone down:
1. Arin starts partnered with Kasumi, decides he wants to partner up with Nyotengou.
2. Arin blows off Kasumi to ask out Nyotengou, she shoots him down.
3. A spurned Kasumi savagely partners up with Nyotengou.
4. Arin partners up with Momiji to make Nyotengou jealous.
5. Momiji does her very best Nice Girl, taking the blame when Arin clearly just throws their volleyball game. Cannot understand why Arin is obsessed with an asshole like Nyotengou when there's a perfectly Nice Girl like her right there
And then obviously there's the gambling addiction

5. Momiji does her very best Nice Girl, taking the blame when Arin clearly just throws their volleyball game. Cannot understand why Arin is obsessed with an asshole like Nyotengou when there's a perfectly Nice Girl like her right there

And to add to the hilarity, at some point he sends a gift to Helena, i.e, the girl he's actually playing as, and she rejects it.
Someone on reddit mentioned that Nyotengu is absolutely despises Helena and is generally just a big mean jerk, so his chances of ever partnering with her are slim.
Oh man, they're playing Godzilla! I'm glad they're listening to the dialogue, because there's one guy in particular I can imagine them goofing on a lot. I also can't wait for Hedorah to show up.
As much as I think people tend to be overly critical of Skyward Sword, the design of the sky is definitely one of the game's biggest flaws. Good job, Barry.
