I just read the Sentry stuff in Bendis' New Avengers
Yo, that shit's rad
"This character has been hanging out with all your favorite superheroes all along!" is something that should be lame and eye roll inducing, but there was a lot of weight to it and it resolved in sushi an interesting way that it really elevated the whole thing
There are a decent amount of characters Bendis tried to make big deals and important and just kinda let go of them (Echo, Protector, etc.) but Sentry he kept on using and eventually lost track of what the character is about
Man, a Sentry movie could be pretty cool like 10 years from now. Base it on the 2000 miniseries, bring back as many of the old retired characters as they can, and basically recreate scenes from earlier movies to put Sentry into them, like he was always there, but everyone forgot. And you end the movie with everyone having to forget again, leaving the movie as a self-contained homage to the early films of the MCU.
Wonderman confuses me. Isn't his whole thing, that he is made out of energy? Why would being hit with a concrete block even phase him?
He's powered by ionic energy, but I'm not sure if he's made out of it.
EDIT:
Ionic Energy Form: The tissue and bones of his entire body have been augmented in strength and to a certain extent supplanted by an unknown substance during the "ionic ray" bombardment. Despite Wonder Man's statements that he is composed of "ionic energy," he is actually composed of organic matter that is permeated with this form of energy. Since his last revival, his physiology has changed a great deal and its not clear if his external form is ionic energy or flesh. He stated during an incident in which all the living things in New York had been morphed into symbiotes that he was an ion being and not flesh and blood. This was the prime reason he himself had not been infected. He does not house blood in his body and cannot impregnate women.
Ares works so much better as kind of an overlyviolent hercules, than the sociopath he kind of got turned into during Dark Reign.
I didn't read the Dark Reign Avengers books, but the Ares miniseries during Dark Reign was excellent.
In the main series he was a pretty sociopathic killing machine, like everyone else on the dark avengers. I can't recall if I have read that specific miniseries, I will have to take a look now though!
The War Machine/Ares miniarc was technically during Dark Reign and was pretty good too (their interactions that is, the story itself was kind of meh).
Anyone remember which series the ares and wonderman teamup was in? My googling is just getting silly future fight synergies
I'm pretty sure it was Incredible Hercules.
EDIT:
This is hilarious

Holy shit, that is absolutely hilarious. How have I not seen that?

Trying to make sure I am not missing any CapIsASkrull evidence;
FA:
Receives a serum that makes him "stronger, faster, and more durable" than any "other" human. Serum is then suspiciously lost, and no one, even the other surviving scientists involved in the project have any documentation to create more.
Is somehow an incredibly talented fighter, despite having been beaten up for "his" entire life, and then used as a chorus girl for his military career.
"Lost" the Tesseract into the ocean, to attempt to prevent mankind from creating advanced technology with unlimited electricity.
Takes the first opportunity available to crash the incredibly advanced aircraft he is in possession of after defeating the Red Skull, with absolutely no attempts to bring it down safely.
"Survived" being frozen for ~70 years.
Avengers:
Drums up distrust of SHIELD, for again attempting to created advanced weaponry, with the Tesseract.
Lets Thor take the Tesseract off world, so it is no longer a threat to any potential invasion.
WS:
Destroys the Project Insight carriers, so they cannot be used to identify and eliminate Skrulls hiding among the population.
Dismantles the SHIELD agency, to weaken earth's defensive capability.
AoU:
Assumes leadership of the Avengers in order direct and influence world events.
Dismantles the Hydra organization to prevent/slow the development of advanced Terran weaponry.
Continually hampers Tony Stark's attempts to create world wide defensive solutions for preventing alien invasions, via his status as Avengers leader.
Assists Thor in removal of Lokis staff / Mind stone from Earth, to prevent it from being used to assist in defense of the planet or aid in the creation of advanced weaponry.
Attempts to prevent the Vision from being created, based solely on the advice from a known criminal recently abetting in the genocide of mankind.
Again assumes leadership of the new Avengers group to continue world events influence.
CW:
Sows discord and distrust between the Avengers members and the world population, in order to weaken their global defensive ability.
Wait do you really think Cap is a Skrull or is this just a fun goofy theory

I honestly can see them eventually revealing Cap is a Skrull in one of the later movies. His actions are slanted just enough from his actual comic persona, that he is coming off as kind of strange and overly aggressive/chaotic to me.
The above list is absolutely tongue in check justifications for things he has done.
e:
I am not saying they will, just that if they did it wouldn't floor me in surprise.
Also, supposedly only the super skrull is Fox exclusive. Marvel supposedly still has access to normal Skrulls.

I will believe that Morkath and Vow are skrulls before I believe cap is one.

But what about the more important matter of Bigger Cap
I think you mean Caap

Sorry, but Morkath is written just too unrealistically to be anything but Skrull.

More unrealistic than Vow?
Vow's too obvious to be anything but a misdirect.

Yeah, I think they kinda went overboard with Vow after season 4

I'm looking forward to more of his stuff!

Pluto was a planet and I'll never forget
I'm pretty sure it was Incredible Hercules.

Another great Ares teamup, was with War Machine. Just following him around, claiming he was now his champion, and Rhodey telling him "No, go away."
He's powered by ionic energy, but I'm not sure if he's made out of it.
EDIT:
I love how pointlessly specific Wikia's get.
It only knocks him out for a short while anyways
This is hilarious

Exactly what a Skrull would say in order to divert suspicion from Cap / the Skrull Queen!

My anti-cap sentiments are nothing new, CW has just given me much more plentiful and convincing ammo!
I mean, SHIELD is kinda shit

And I think you know how I know.
I'm not necessarily anti-Cap
But I was Team Stark before I saw the movie and the movie did not change my stance
