Eh, it kinda works for Batman, singular. Especially a young batman.
But it doesn't at all work for the Bat Family.
Yeah, Nolan works for a very specific vision of Batman. Surprisingly, creative direction takes a lot of thought and deliberation to create a coherent message. Who knew?
So the Injustice 2 mobile game soft launched internationally and all of the playable heroes are from the announced roster thus far with the additions of Scarecrow and Cyborg which matches up with the, basically confirmed at this point, leaked list.
Most notably, Scarecrow has a super different design where he looks actually super powered:

Scarecrow has been injecting himself with so much fear gas that it now leaks out of him like a pheromone, causing everyone to see him like this instead of what he truly looks like.
There you go Netherrealm, I'll be looking for my writing credit.
I'd be surprised if fear gas wasn't part of his moveset
Like, why would you choose scarecrow to be a character in a fighting game and NOT have him use fear gas in some way. It's the perfect excuse to have him do some really weird stuff. Like give him a bunch of minions or shape-shifting abilities or something.
Nolan's tone was hopeful and optimistic disguised as grim and gritty.
I've been working on an essay about BvS that I think will be really interesting but I'm having trouble getting it out. Part of what I'm trying to talk about is Snyders view of superheroes is a reflection of the way certain groups are coming to view authority figures today. Superman is depicted as being fundamentally terrible at his job. He can't really protect anyone and regularly chooses the less moral choice for the easier choice. The movies are very defensive of this. They insist that the poor job heroes do is only realistic. "People are just weak and things are just hard' but at the same time movie holds them as beyond reproach. Despite how bad at his job Superman is nobody who really matters in the narrative insist he change. In fact his human touchstones act like him being a being a basically good person is a favor to mankind and how dare we even judge him? Its a same for Batman. Batman supposedly grows and changes at the end of the movie but the way he acts stays the same. He's still the vicious authoritarian he started as because the movie doesn't see a problem with that behavior.

It's kind of a Nolan standard. Momento, Inception, The Prestige, they all have endings (beginnings) that seem bleaker at first glance than they are under the surface.
Admittedly, the final result isn't always sunshine and kittens, but they're not set in amoral universes.
I think a lot of it stemmed from the Big Guy/For You meme that came out of Rises on /tv/ and elsewhere on 4chan with stuff like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTQeHeWT9y4
Like, making fun of the plane scene was basically the most popular thing on 4chan for a while, it makes sense that channers took it with them into all this garbage It's a bummer.
So I picked up the first issue of The Wild Storm, the Wildstorm Universe reboot by Warren Ellis. I'm intrigued enough to see where it might go.
Seems like a lot of general themes from the original Wildstorm comics are there without that 90s baggage; there were hardly any belt pouches in the first issue, and nobody was dressed in their underwear and battle posing.

Now here’s the twist, and there is a twist: We show it. We show all of it. Because what’s the one major thing missing from all action movies these days guys? …Full penetration. Guys, we’re gonna show full penetration and we’re gonna show a lot of it! I mean, we’re talking, you know, graphic scenes of Superman really going to town on this hot young reporter. From behind, 69, anal, vaginal, cowgirl, reverse cowgirl, all the hits, all the big ones, all the good ones. Then he smells crime again. He’s out snapping necks. Then he’s back to the Daily Planet for some more full penetration. Smells crime, back to the Planet, full penetration. Crime, penetration, crime, full penetration, crime, penetration. And this goes on and on, and back and forth, for 150 or so minutes until the movie just, sort of, ends.

Flash Fact: Speed has *everything* to do with it. You see, the speed of the bottom informs the top how much pressure he's supposed to apply. Speed's the name of the game.

Ug I hate shit like that. But one of Jason's variants had something like that in MKXL so it's very possible.

Why I fear the ocean.
This seems super reasonable, although I would feel like you'd want someone representing the Red in the mix as well then?
I mean, it's not necessary, by any means.
But come on, give me that Animal Man.
Vixen seems like a more likely choice for dlc
I love Bane but there is no way in hell I am buying a Chuck Dixon book in the year 2017
Yeah, I'd be perfectly happy with Vixen too, and DC seems to have started getting the memo that maybe they should be pushing her more.
Especially considering that white supremacists have adopted Bane as one of their mascots (seemingly not knowing he's an illegal Hispanic migrant)
Fucking hell
Good times
The ones who keep quiet about it usually find other ways to do damage, at least i can shun the fuckers i'm aware of

I'll pass, thanks.
Steam
I can't imagine he would be interested in directing a superhero movie, let alone one about Suicide Squad
That seems like an incredibly weird fit, even if he were on board

Yes
Fuck it
Let's go full crazy
Steam
Only because they rejected my script for Batman v Superman
