I decided to start watching Steven Universe last week after finally giving Gravity Falls a shot and then finishing the series as fast as possible.
I'm finally caught up on Steven Universe. Holy shit, this is a really good show.

- Better Things (FX), September 8th
- Son of Zorn (Fox), September 11th
- The Good Place (NBC), September 19th
- Brooklyn Nine-Nine & New Girl (Fox), September 20th
- Black-ish (ABC) & Survivor (CBS), September 21st
- The Blacklist (NBC), September 22nd
- ...MacGuyver? (CBS) & Longmire (Netflix), September 23rd
- Bob's Burgers & Last Man on Earth (Fox), September 25th
- Drunk History (Comedy Central), September 27th
- Luke Cage (Netflix), September 30th
I really want the MacGyver reboot to be called ...MacGyver?
Like, everyone's just kind of surprised to see him, they thought he was out of town for the week and no, it's not that they're disappointed he's there, it's just, y'know, it's okay for you to take some time for yourself sometimes, dude, we can get by without you for a bit.

Is there a timeframe for when the winner of the Amazon Pilot thing will be announced? My wife and I watched all three shows last night.
Though it was a more serious take than we were expecting, I want to see more of the Tick.
My wife wants the JCVD one to win though. I wouldn't mind if that one won, but I also kind of feel like I got almost everything that show will offer just from the pilot. It did probably get more laughs out of us than the Tick did, though.
At the time we watched them, both were rated at 4 stars, but the Tick had been rated way more times. I don't know what all the metrics are for deciding the show though, and Tick is probably the most expensive of the three by a decent margin.
Really? I thought it was some sort of contest thing.
Still, it'd be cool if both got picked up.
Fake Edit: Just looked up the previous ones. The first time they green lit 5 out of 14. The rest were 5/10, 2/5, 6/12, 2/6, 1/2, 8/12, and finally 1/8.
So aside from the last one, I guess it seems to be roughly half overall? So it could go either way when you only have 3 choices.

Late era JCVD has really knocked it out of the park. Although I still haven't watched the most recent Universal Soldier film because I saw a couple of the fight scenes and felt like the forgot everything they learned from Regeneration.
I just got to the baseball episode of Steven Universe
they're not even trying to pretend this isn't an anime anymore, huh
There's no need to pretend anything, it's not an anime. It's a western cartoon that is perfectly kosher to discuss on these forums.

JCVJ was the strongest, but yeah, I think it's also the least sustainable.
I did get a lot of enjoyment out of the director being 'the guy who did the Kia Rio commercials with the dancing hamsters' and that they had actionized and gender swapped Tom Sawyer, though.
Also that Huck's Dad was a badass monster guy.
P. true to the book in that instance.
"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor My new novel: Maledictions: The Offering. Now in Paperback!

So am I crazy or is Food Network not actually putting together a show for their new "star". Like I haven't seen shit for advertising her show yet at all.
Then again they didn't even advertise that the great food truck race was back.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
We're currently watching through Angel since my partner hasn't seen most of it, still working through season 1, and just watched the episode 'Sanctuary'.
Faith shows up in LA after taking a wrecking ball to Buffy's life after waking up from a coma. Angel wants to give her a shot at redemption, Buffy shows up wanting revenge.
And now I really need to find some artwork of Angel as Cap, Buffy as Iron Slayer and Faith with a metal arm, because this is totally two heroes of their respective franchises having a civil disagreement over whether someone who has been controlled and influenced by bad people deserves a chance to do some good.

Movie Awards were always better. At least when I was watching them.
The movie awards were a cultural touchstone for the end of the 90s/early00s, but the VMAs were always a big deal to MTV...at least on a superficial level.

I would co-host but I don't have time and I'm afraid the world isn't ready for me.

If you've gotten that far then you've already gotten to the episodes where they joke about anime.

Hmm. I feel like this appeals to me on to many levels to be real.

Sure seems like an errant sex doll is a surprisingly large plot device
Walton Goggins without some good ol' twang in his voice is...wrong
It is simply incorrect
if you mean the chloe, she ends up being super deep and one of the best characters on the show as well as a joy to watch
Is there no picture of NewGyver where doesn't look like a smarmy douche?
but he didn't have one in his best role...
Nope, so far all the ones I've seen have shown his face.
