Cat feels the incoming pressure of the visions, but what happens is new -- rather than an image of the future it feels like their mind splits and flings itself across the library, giving Cat little glimpses of a conversation, a shadowy figure digging through the stacks, fae creatures dancing across the bookshelves, and other sights they can't even identify.

Take +1 Forward and gain one Corruption.

Cat and Jan, Violet bumps Catin the shoulder playfully, saying, "Oh I was just teasing. Then, she leans in and pinches Jan's cheek, saying, "He's actually a cutie, though!" She adds, "What's that you were talking about making something for Cat? Something to help with the headaches?"

She actually looks... hopeful for that last part.

Ash, unfortunately, Cat and Violet basically box you out of your conversation with Jan. Still, he's going to be around, so no rush. Lingering by the bar, you spot Sebastian chatting up a bored looking dryad. ...Or maybe that's just how she always looks and she's actually interested? Fae expressions are very difficult to read. Anyway, there's a good chance that the dryad might some ideas on what you could get for the Lord.

Or you could try to check something out that would help you find out what he's liked in the past... What do you do?

Kieran, each of you feeling like you've gotten a good feel for the other, Janusz exchanges numbers with you and shakes your hand before you go. He's gonna hang around the bar a bit, get few more free drinks, then go and sober up a bit for the hunt.

You haven't seen any definitive sign of Seline since you've been here, but who else here catches your eye that might know something about her? When was the last time you met them on the job?

    What do you do?

Daniel, you make a bit of small talk with a few other ghosts while you wait your turn to talk to Jan, which gives you some time to think. The best way to get your hands on that book of Jan's is to either steal it or trade for it. Which one are you planning on doing? Either way, what's the plan?

    Kieran, The Hunter
    Stats: Blood 2, Heart 0, Mind 1, Spirit -1
    Factions: Mortality 1, Night 1, Power 1, Wild -1
    Harm: 0/5 (None) | Corruption: 0/5 | Armor: 0

Kieran wades through the crowd to approach a squat man and two women hanging around the back of the hall. The man in the center is squat man with slicked back hair and a pencil thin mustache- his name is Felix Felligari. The two women besides him were presumably escorts, both had ample frames and wore expensive blouses - each clung to opposing sides of Felix. The one on his left had dark brown hair and wore a red and gold dress. The woman on his right had blond hair and wore a pure gold dress. Kieran assumed they were escorts, as they seemed way too interested by Felix- when he wasn't a particularly interesting man. A mob lawyer with some political ties who dabbled around with power hitters in the magic circle. He was regaling and laughing with the girls till he noticed Kieran approach.

He took a sip from his wine glass and an anxious look suddenly crossed his face once he noticed Kieran standing a few feet in-front of him with crossed arms waiting for him to finish his conversation. Felix shoo'd the girls away and took another drink. Kieran moved up besides him "Hello Felix", he said in a way that conveyed over-familiarity and a bit of mockery. You see, Felix had aspirations that went beyond that of the organization he swore loyalty to. Kieran had run across him during various side ventures, both as a gun for hire and by chance. One notable example was being hired to retrieve an enchanted monkey paw from a group of stoner werewolves.

Felix had been trying to lay the groundwork with the movers and shakers of the magic world, so it seemed likely he may know something about "Seline's" reemergence.

"They were cute..." Kieran says with a slight grin. Felix still looked uncomfortable. Kieran takes notice and cuts straight to the point "I'll be short, so you can get to whatever is you are doing here.I was wondering if there any new players in The Consilium. Of the female variety. Ones I might be interested in."

Kieran assumed Felix was aware of Garren and his exploits in that remote town, especially considering the fallout that occurred between the two hunters after the incident.

Jan sputters as Violet pinches his cheek, but quickly regains himself, narrowing his eyes at the other woman. "What kin-na hulder ar-ya ta-be so-in decent?" he asks, sing-song, unable to restrain his accent so robbed of his dignity.

He adjusts himself, straightening his vest, tie, and jacket. "But yes," he pauses, pulling his pronunciation back together. "Old Scandinavian witches had to deal with spá -- prophecy -- as well, and came up with a variety of methods to 'focus' it. That's what I'm trying to put together for Cat; one of the physical restraints."

He turns to smile at Cat. "Yes, without your permission. It was supposed to be a bit of a surprise." He coughs. "Plus if it works for you, I expect other oracles will be knocking on my door."

I make some small talk with the other ghosts, just the usual stuff, complaining mostly. It gives me time to think. Jan doesn't owe me anything right now, I need to play an angle on this. Figure out something he needs and help him get it. And it needs to be quick. I could just ask him for a favor if I get desperate, but I'd rather not let him know I'm desperate.

"Well," Cat says slowly, clearly not comfortable with the idea of someone just helping her out of the blue, "I guess that's cool or whatever. Don't put yourself out too much, but it'd be nice to--" they trail off as their head throbs. Cat finishes of their drink, "Anyways, I should go check out the stacks. That's what we're here for, right Violet?" Cat turns to see Violet flushed and giggling at a handsome young fae at the bar. Cat rolls their eyes, but leaves her to her flirting and pads slowly into the stacks.

OOC: I think I'm generally looking for information about what kind of monster I saw hunting Kieran, based on the vision I saw of its lair and such. Rolling with +1 from Let It Out.

Ash's calculated long route over to Jan is for naught, as Cat - ever the direct one, unusual for an Oracle - and Violet make their way to the old veteran before Ash can casually arrive. "There'll be time" Ash thinks. Out of the corner of her eye, she spots Sebastian and a wood nymph (dryad? sprite? creature, thinks Ash) and decides that they'd be more fun anyway. Sauntering over, Ash slides into the crook of Sebastian's arm, cooing, "There you are, darling. All the best and brightest in the scene, and here we are, the best looking couple." As Sebastian turns to her with a smile, lifting her hand to his lips, Ash allows herself to blush just slightly. Turning to the fae, Ash continues, "Ashleigh Carter, my dear. And you are...?"

Ashley: Right, you recognize her. Lin a member of the City park grove, which is a small circle of fae who formed a little band for mutual defense and general association. You also helped them straighten out some paperwork with City Hall where the park was going open up the clearing where they normally met, so she owes you one. She says, "Oh, you're the Ashley who helped us! It's so nice to meet you! Everyone's been talking about you!"

Sebastian doesn't protest your advance, and says, "Well, I was just talking with this charming creature, but it seems you're already acquainted. My, you do get around. So, how can I help you?"

Lin does move closer to you, putting you between Sebastion and herself. Something about him seems to make her uncomfortable.

    What do you do?

Cat, well, good news, bad news. While you're wandering through the stacks, a book seemingly calls out to you, drawing you to it. As soon as you lay eyes on it, you're sure it's got the answer you want. Its bound in a rough leather, and the "spine" is just a bunch of string tying the pages together. A closer inspection makes you pretty sure that it's not bound not human skin, thankfully. That apparently got passe back in the 1400s. Unfortunately, simply touching the book makes your vision swims, and you have to pull yourself away before you collapse right then and there. Instead, you have to slip it into the gift bag and carry it to the checkout desk. They say that the return date is now inscribed on the back cover, but you really don't want to touch the book to look it up. Guess you'll have to find some sort of help.

As you look up, you see that Violet's wandered off. ...What did she tell you she wanted to check out earlier, anyway? What do you do?

Kirean, Felix doesn't seem too happy to see you. In fact, he looks decidely miserable before takes a few steps back away from you. He then looks around to see if anyone is going to stop you from talking to him, but no takers. Figuring that he's just gotta push through this conversation, he doesn't meet your eyes as he quickly says, "Oh, plenty of people coming in and out, you know? Can't be expected to keep in touch with everyone. Anyway, I'm verrry busy tonight. Maybe we can talk later?" He actually managed to say all of that without a breath, which is sort of impressive, you know? Anyway, he's trying to beat a hasty retreat. What do you do?

If you wanna get something out of him, you're gonna have to roll something.

Violet was looking for a book on the divine; trying to find clues to identify the owner of the White Angel. It was a task that Cat suspected Camille had put her up to, which they weren't thrilled about.

Cat steps back into the party and almost bumps into Felix as he backed away from Kieran -- Felix was nearly as wide as Cat was tall, but they could still clearly see Kieran eyeing the lawyer sternly. Cat raised their eyebrow at Kieran, but made no move.

OOC: declaring intent to lend a hand to Kieran, if it's necessary.
