Also, I now know that you need to go to +++, not just ++, to get all the rings. What. So that's a lot fewer Proofs I actually needed to grind since I could have picked up a couple on each of those future cycles!
No, you don't, whoever changed the wiki to say that that you need to be in NG+++ to get the +3 version of the Life Ring was wrong.
I never hit that sweet spot. I used the blue sentinels /darkmoon for about 50 hours and got summoned about 13 times. So I am not confident in the games ability to reliably summon me.
Yeah having TWO bluecop covenants was kind of a big waste, and I think having just one would have made things better for everyone trying to get summoned.

Yo can somebody give me a hand with that croc? I've been at it for a while and I'm not really getting anywhere with this piece of shit
edit: fucking finally.
Next time around:
You can actually run to the other side of the bridge and the invisible wall won't let him pass. As you progress through the level he'll jump down into the lake below, where there's a small island to fight him on that gives you a little more space than that narrow bridge.

I'm aware. This is like my 5th or 6th playthrough. I'm just kinda rusty after having not picked the game up for a good while.
I think I'd have to give tops to Bloodborne bosses, but I wasn't disappointed with any dark souls bosses from 1 or 3 so far. Maybe I'm just easy to please that way
I'm surprised the Abyss Watchers are so well-received. It's not a bad boss fight, but it didn't feel special to me. It was basically "fight dude in armor with sword, then evade when there is second dude in armor with sword until third dude in armor with sword takes aggro." And entire second half was "fight dude in armor with sword that's on fire."
Maybe I haven't done it right? Maybe I should try it solo (no NPC summons) with a sword and board or something?
My favorite of DS3 is probably Aldrich. Nameless King was also really good, though he's disappointingly defanged by the simple ranged strategy.

I one shot the watchers in NG and NG+, longsword and twin straight swords. Poor man's Bloodborne dlc fight, which is still admittedly excellent. Really loved the Belated Champion, ruined me for ages.
From has announced an announcement on 8/24, and someone from Bandai-Namco has confirmed it's not more tshirts but did not rule out hoodies. That same person also posted DS3 patch notes for a rather fun date: 8/25.
Looks like it's coming in late October. Gives me a chance to go back and try to finish me SL1 run at least; I got stuck on fucking Dragonslayer Armor of all things and haven't touched the game in a while.

Same with Aldritch and Farron.
Base - NG
+1 - NG+
+2 - NG++
+3 - NG+++
That's not the case? So two versions of the ring appear in one run?
EDIT: Oh I see, no other ring has a +3 entry. Okay then.
It always takes me some time to get used to every enemy being designed to lock onto me like they're standing on a fucking turntable.

I have this Yhorm's Great Machete that I'd like to use to play through the game from the start-ish
Would anybody be willing to take it off of my endgame character and then give it to a character at the beginning of the game?

And then that ending, even @SilverWind was like "holy shit"
edit: fucking finally.
Heavy weapons are great for staggering dudes and I anticipate setting land speed records for crocobeast murder
Next time around:
Note that I made sure I wasn't the person nearest to the croc once it got moving.
They've got to be up there
mmmmm
yeah its top 5 at least
ALso SMooth McGroove did a really great cover of their fight music.

Well, them and the Last Boss, who is probably my actual favorite fight
But it's hard to top those guys for the feel of the fight, and how well the soundtrack syncs up with the cutscene at the halfway point of the fight
i think that the second form is a stark downgrade
This will be here until I receive an apology or Weedlordvegeta get any consequences for being a bully
