Homeworld Cataclysm is amazing. I like it more than any of the others. Just the entire concept of a shitty-ass mining ship needing to strap parts to itself to build up its own fleet and survive is really cool.

Cataclysm is the most generic space zombie plot as it can possibly be. But the Somtaaw are so amazing it doesn't even matter.
This sounds promising! I've been curious to try it out when it'll come down on some sale, FC3 was a pretty fun game but I think something similar played in a "fantasy" setting would be much cooler.
My computer was not fond of the game. Had to turn everything down to the lowest setting*. There are ... two auto-save locations that are very slow; don't panic if you encounter this - the game isn't frozen.
I felt stupid a few times. But overall it wasn't that hard: probably closer to Myst than Riven. Though there is still (at least) one Potential Puzzle for which I haven't found a hook.
Missed two achievements. Maybe I'll go back through in a year or so and mess with it some more.
* I would up the texture quality setting when examining objects or signs in the world, just to sharpen the image. Actually playing with it above low caused a lot of framerate drops and freezing.
I dunno I'm pretty wary of Primal, one of my favourite things in Far Cry is completely machine gunning and exploding the utter shit out of mercenary bases and unless they get pretty goddamn wonky I bet you can't do that in Primal

Yeah, I found out last night that I don't meet the minimum specs for the game after I'd bought and installed it and wondered why it ran like shit. That's okay though, it'll keep in my Steam library until I build my new PC and maybe by then it'll be VR compatible and will work with my Oculus Rift (that I also don't currently meet the minimum specs for, fuck I'm an idiot)

you get a giant owl that can drop bee bombs on people then diveomb the survivors
you also get a giant badger that scares all other animals away

also the old man that is also your tech guy in the beginning of the game traps you in a dead drop and urinates on you, and from that point forward refers to you as "piss man"

Everything else sounds pretty great, too.
Is there any sneak-killing potential in Primal? You can be a primitive ninja, can't you?

no, that's pretty much what happened
It's like Zach Braff had an early midlife crisis and got some half sleeves done.
I realized recently that I barely even remember the good parts of that game
Like it took real effort to remember any of the incredible Vaas monologues

Black leather jacket over a leopard print collared shirt over a bright white undershirt with modest medallion
Amazing
fc1 was pretty good
It was also made by another developer so it's canonicity is questionable
I think Relic themselves had a poor opinion of it
