Hero had some of my favourite matches I watched last year. It's amazing how well the guy moves for all the weight he's put on. He's had off periods here and there, but he's one of my favourite wrestlers to watch, and I'm glad he's got another run in the WWE.

And that's all, with the 8 person being unofficial so far. It's assumed Roode is wrestling Nak again but they didn't really interact except for the very end which may be an untelivised segment. Roode beat Hero clean.
I spent my evening watching an episode of NWA: Mountain State Wrestling and then the Nitro after WCW 1999 Mayhem with SA goons. MSW was bad in an endearing way and Nitro made no goddamn sense.

you know how we complain that sometimes it feels like Raw (and Smackdown to a degree) doesn't do much sometimes? This was the exact opposite. In the first 10 minutes like 6 things happened and it was all so goddamn fast.

Like, that is an obscure as hell thing to porn parody for a normal person. For a wrestling fan it isn't, it's the fucking Montreal Screwjob, but that means there's a Venn Diagram overlap of pro wrestling fans and porn fans and people making porn and that's hilarious.
A while back I got linked to a PG-edited cut of a Star Trek porno (like it was an actual porn vid, but it wasn't being hosted on a porn site and all the actual sex and nudity bits were cut out).
And it was an Original Series based porn parody with like, actually fairly accurate sets and costumes. The whole premise was of a visiting Vulcan (played by Sasha Grey) going into Ponn Farr and needing... help with that
Which is lore accurate to how Vulcans are in Star Trek? Like I didn't see the actual sex bits but I imagine some nerd watching it on PornHub is thinking "yes, this is consistent with canon".
Josh Mathews got himself in trouble with TNA over a tweet he made to a podcast host. Mathews got into an argument with the Real Shoot Wrestling podcast on Tuesday and posted a Tweet that read, “Ohh, ‘Real Shoot Wrestling Podcast!’ Taking offense! Did you guys book a great ‘SHOOT style promo!’ You should really shoot yourselves.”
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, officials saw the tweet and warned Mathews about his social media behavior. The message was deleted, but the podcasters took a screenshot that is still live. Mathews also has not deleted a post where he responded to the screengrab, replying with “Stooge.”
This is the match we saw live, and my first Hero match. It was pretty great.
Around 5:30 is the moment I'll always remember, where he starts doing all the arm submissions and just yells at the crowd, "This is the kinda shit you guys like, right? Right!?" Since ZSJ had been doing that, and the earlier show was also full of weird arm/hand submissions.
oh jeez last night there was a dude in front of me who would not shut up about ohno's weight and kept yelling "cardio!" and other dumb shit and the only thing i wanted was for ohno to just kick that dude in his awful mouth
I don't mind him losing cleanly to Roode so soon. Technically he shouldn't have even been givin a title shot anyway unless NXT now counts Evolve as reason to promote you.
