I saw a Boondocks collection book at Barnes & Noble. I'm not familiar with the strips but I love the show. I took a peek inside and saw when Huey met Jasmine:
Huey:"It's good to see more black people moving in."
Jazmine:"...what make you think I'm...black?"
Huey:"Well because your afro's bigger than mine."
Jazmine:"I don't have an afro, my hair's just frizzy today!"
Huey:"[don't remember name]'s hair is "a little frizzy," you have an afro."
Jazmine: I don't care what you say. I DON'T have an AFRO. I don't, I don't, I DON'T.
Huey: *sigh* How sad.
Huey: You're clearly suffering from "Afro-Denial." Textbook Case.
Jazmine: What!!?
Huey: This looks serious, I better start planning the intervention.
Jazmine: Afro-Denial?
Jazmine: There's no such thing as "Afro-Denial." I bet you made that up!
Huey: Wait ... here it is.
Huey: AFRO-DENIAL: A psychological affliction wherein patients exhibit self-dilusional behavior, believing they have straight flowing, european supermodel type hair -- thereby refusing to accept the coarseness, thickness and/or nappiness of their actual hair.
Jazmine: Well I think you and your book are STUPID. SO THERE!!!
Huey: Hmm... Sounds like "Ethno-Ambiguo Hostility Syndrome"...

the name is mariah carey. Also, those are some pretty old strips. Two or three years ago at the least, back when the boondocks was in its prime.
Which books are those strips found in? I've always liked Boondocks, but our paper never carried it. I know it's not as good now as it used to be, and it doesn't merit me going to comics.com to read every day.
I would be willing to pick up a book or two of when it was in its prime, if I knew what the titles were.
I went to the SMBC website and there's a huge banner ad for a furry chatroom
It's IMVU.com, not specifically a furry chatroom.
Disappointing...
The ad had a chick with a tiger's head wearing a slinky red dress and a "seductive" look. Wikipedia confirms a large furry population. I just call 'em like I see 'em.
Christ, do I ever sympathize with that Wikipedia comic.
It's so irritating to see an article for a video game or something that says that it's "unsourced" or somesuch in reference to plot descriptions and such.
It's a video game. What source do you expect other than "Playing the game"?

Most of the video games will say something about the game that needs to be backed up. For example, you need sources if you say that the game got really good reviews, sold well, and for many other things.

Yes, but if you notice, I was referring to things like the plot.
They do show the specific sections of the wiki that they think need references, you know.

The plot also needs sources in cases of stuff like "the plot was accused of being nonsensical" and points that aren't obvious to all of the people who have played the game.

Oh, for fuck's sake.
You know what I'm talking about.
I think what he's trying to say is that your posts need more citations to be trusted.
There is only one Far Side I've never got, its a guy at a grand piano and a woman saying "Why don't you play some blues?" or words to that effect. Anyone know what the hell this ones on about?
IIRC, they've in an extravagent parlor, wearing jewelry and drinking wine. The impression is that they're rich and sucessful, which means they don't really have any reason to be "blue."
Instead of playing the whole game of chess, the white knight just shot the black king from a safe distance.
Gotcha, I was totally overthinking it.
I didn't pay attention to the colors, and thought the knight was staging a coupe.
I guess you don't play alot of chess
You guessed correctly.
I need this comic for a powerpoint, but I can't find it for the life of me. (I might be teaching Chess to some people.) What's it called?
EDIT - by the way, there are new strips out.
That one's been around for a while.
Unfortunately, I can't find the chess comic on the site. Went through them all but no dice.
On the plus side, I found it hosted elsewhere...

However there is side nipple and don't wanna get a banning.
I've seen that comic before but I just realized that.

More than that - didn't someone hack the forums and replace everyone's avatar and sig with that animated gif?
I don't think anybody hacked the forums. I think it was just an extremely popular, but short lived meme.
A mod changed some peoples avatars to it as a going-away prank, and others jumped on the bandwagon with edited pictures and avatars.
Rock Band DLC | GW:OttW - arrcd | WLD - Thortar
beat that.
On topic I have yet to find a comic that even comes CLOSE to Calvin and Hobbes. Perry Bible is good, but not to the level of C & H.
