I'm kind of pissed, because that's free advertising for my eBay auction I will never have a chance at getting again.

Personally, I still use it as a source-I just gave up on trying to edit. It's like "The human hand has five fingers [citation needed.]" I saw that on bash.org and it's basically the best explanation I've seen of my problem with Wikipedia.

I guess it depends on what you're doing. As a PhD student I'd fully expect to get my teeth kicked in for citing a Wikipedia page
I use Wiki to read through summaries of comic book characters and research trades because, let's face it, if you want to read the distilled knowledge of millions of really-thorough nerds then there is simply NO BETTER PLACE.

This is seriously what I spent ALL last summer doing at my job. I worked about 35+ hours a week, on campus in a computer lab. I learned so much shit about comics that summer.

It is unbelievably helpful just to learn the gist of shit though.
