Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Originally thought by most to be a Playstation 3 exclusive, it appears that Namco-Bandai and Koei's PS3 hit Gundam Musou will be making its way to the Xbox 360 as well.
IGN reports that this summer the game will be released in the United States for both the PS3 and the Xbox 360.
Gundam Musou features Mobile Suits and characters from several different Gundam series, including the original Gundam, Zeta Gundam, Gundam ZZ, G Gundam, Gundam Wing and Turn-A Gundam. Players will be able to play 3 different modes in the game, including "Official," "Original" and "Versus."
Gundam Musou is notable for selling over 100,000 copies the day of it's release in Japan. It also recieved a 33/40 score in Famitsu.
While I don't currently have an Xbox 360, I'm definitely anxious to see how the game does over here in the US. In the meantime, check out these videos of the game in action:

oh god YES.
i saw videos of this game on gametrailers and almost cried when i saw the "only ps3" next to them.
now this news makes me jump around in joy. many mobile suits will be destroyed in the days to come.
While it's awesome to see a Gundam game that doesn't consist of the same ol' stomp 'n shoot, I actually have to admit that the Dynasty Warriors gameplay looks a little sparse and bland. For one thing, no matter what MS/character you play as, it seems like the mass-enemies are nothing but UC One Year War Zaku IIs, Zaku Tanks, and GMs.
It seems like it'd get a little dull after a while.

The game supposedly has every mech from the UC timeline, plus some from the spin-offs.
Now if they just brought the Gundam MMO over here I would gladly become a hideous, sun-light fearing shut-in. Seriously, between those two games I would never go outside again, save to get myself some pizza, maybe.
This controller of mine burns with an awesome power.
It's power commands me to FUCK YOU UP!
The sound of eight hooves reaches his ears, comes from the heavenly light, two wolves howls fills his heart with fear, and he sees two ravens fly. Down from the sky a warlord rides, like fire his one eye glows, and just before the preacher dies he knows his god is false.

Samurai Warriors (Sengoku Musou) held my interest for a long time. Haven't played the other musou games yet, but I can imagine the formula getting old for someone who's played them all.
I'm curious how they'll make ranged combat work. It was pointless in Samurai Warriors.
Neat. I hope they eventually come out with a quality, 1-on-1 (or 2-on-2, or 3-on-3...) multiplayer Gundam game.
Gundam SEED Destiny: Rengou vs. Z.A.F.T. II Plus is a PS2 port of an arcade game by Capcom. It has four mechs running around on a 3D battlefield duking it out. The game's only two players as far as I could tell, though, so at least 2 mechs will be CPU. However, it's actually a pretty fun game. A large amount of mechs to choose from, and they mostly all play pretty different from each other. Not that it ever came to America.
Recent years have seen large strides in the quality of licensed games.
Haven't the best Gundam games been "slightly better than mediocre"?
I mean, I like the franchise (well, the UC parts, anyway) but come on, they do not have a good track record of making quality titles with the Gundam name.

Nevermind. Damn. The whole Capcom Gundam vs line is fun.
I had the Japanese version of this. It was pretty fun but since I didn't understand Japanese, I couldn't really appreciate any of the treasure items I was getting. Plus it just wasn't worth 70 bucks! Maybe 20-30 bucks. So I Ebayed my copy.
Deathscythe is not in the game. Only Heero and Zechs are here from the Wing series. The game has two player co-op (and some deathmatch modes), although I didn't like how they split the screen vertically down the middle. I think it woulda been a lot better had it been a horizontal split like Gears of War. Can't see much with a vertical split. If this game has Xbox Live co-op support, that would be great.
I prefer the Gundam SEED Plus 2 game mentioned upthread. It feels more... Gundam-like. Gundam Musou is weird cuz it has mobile suits acting like zombies.. waiting to get killed by the hundreds.

Apparently the US Title is as blatant as: Dynasty Warriors: Gundam.

Drunks Against Mad Mothers
Because I will buy it for Duo and Deathscythe alone. He was my favorite when I was younger and Gundam Wing came out over here.
Plus: I fucking love DW-style gameplay. Does it have any multiplayer?

It's like dynasty warriors...
But in plate armour and lasers!
Or like armored core with extremely massive battlefeilds.
oookay, i just watched the trailer.
Not impressed to be honest, though i would still buy it.
It isn't "like" dynasty warriors though.. it IS dynasty warriors and a coat of gundam paint.
I never asked for this!
so godamn hard.
edit: and ign has it titled, literally, Dynasty Warriors: Gundam.
