Does the PS3 play HD-DVDs or only Blu-Ray?

    Only Blu-Ray.

    It would be madness if Sony supprted their competing format at this point. ;)

    althought you can get linux running on the PS3, and apparently you can get the Xbox 360 HDDVD addon running on linux and the PS3 has usb ports so in theory...

    Edit: To high jack a thread, how difficult is that to do? I guess you don't need any kits like how the PS2 was. Can you just burn a distro and go?
