When I was in high school, back in the late 90's, Lawton, OK become the home of a 24 super wal-mart. Within months, all hobby shops, competing grocery stores and even auto mechanic shops were closing up, having been drivin out of business. Wal-mart then exerted its influence on the city council and had all night clubs banned from within the city limits, and the town piloce began busting up any cordinated party that took place outside of the city limits. Eventually the only place to shop or hang out without having to make the long drive outside of town wal-mart. I knew kids at school that their entire family worked for and shopped only at wal-mart.

How is the Bloomington side of the state? I went to school in Champaign but was too scared to venture outside of the protective bubble of the campus town aside from Chicago... all the corn scared me

Take Cham, strip out all the bullshit poverty and Kraft foods shit, then drop in another huge college campus and 3 huge Corporate blocks and make everyone living there about 60% wealthier then Cham, and you have Bloomington.
Basicly, as long as you don't want to buy property or pay any taxes, it's allright.
So interesting side note on the Wal-mart thing, I'm from State College, PA, which would be a tiny little hick town were it not for the university here, and I have some friends still who went to other school districts.
Most horrifying small-town thing I ever heard was from some parents at a performance I went to in like... philipsburg? Something like that:
"Well I heard that their kids over there treat Sheetz like it's a Wal-mart". Then they went on to discuss how shockingly small-town-ish it was to hang out at Sheetz instead of Wal-mart.

It really is, although around here, for the same price you can get a bigger bottle of something something farms which is about as good. I forget the name though. Welshire? Homestead? Something.

FH = Forgotten Hope
It was a mod for BF1942 that essentially everything the original game should have been. Better maps, better skins/models, better balancing of units, etc.
It was the best and most complete mod of BF and I really looking forward to the team's BF2 release.

Certainly not if you are willing to wait for FH2. They plan on releasing the first version the end of this summer I hear.
