"So, we decided to design an Alternate-Reality Game to advertise the film."
"Ooh, those are pretty cool, I've heard good things. What did you have in mind?"
"Well, the guys and I were reading up on it, and we thought a puzzle would be a good idea for starters. Something kind of mysterious to keep people interested."
"Uh, a puzzle? Like a crossword?"
"No, no, nothing like that. Something mysterious, like I said. One of the interns whipped up this sphere idea...here, I'll just let you take a look at it."
Suit-wearing douchebag #1 turns his laptop to face Suit-wearing douchebag #2
    "Okay, let's see...nice animations! Hm."
    Aimless clicking
    "Uh. Guess that didn't work."
    More aimless clicking
"Oh man, this is tough. Any hints?"
"Nah, I couldn't get it either. We don't really have anything for it to link to once you finish anyhow, we're still working on that part."
"What?! The project's due on Monday! This is all you've got?"
"Well...I gave the other intern a video camera and told him to figure something out. He's good with that stuff, apparently he used to know the people who made the Blair Witch Project."
"Really? I wonder whatever happened to them."
"The kid says they turned into real jerks after they made it big."
"Hmm," Suit-wearing douchebag #2 pauses thoughtfully, "well he probably knows what he's doing then."

It would help if they did the blog in a language we could fucking read.
It looks like that shit from the old Micronauts comics.

    uh

    it's a real language

i will say that the beginning of this arg isn't as engaging as the lost experience was at first. but then the lost experience started to suck a dick so hopefully this one takes the opposite course and gets awesome.

Well the title says "Look to the stars for the answers" and if you mouse over the right-most star you get a message in that wierd symbol language.

Oh yeah, that http://ethanhaaswasadouchebag.blogspot.com/ is actually part of the ARG apparently.

And something is supposed to happen on August 1st....

EDIT: No way, apparently the weird message from the star actually shows the alphabet in that weird language. I'm guessing the second puzzle is some sort of decoder for the blog.

    uh

Which the one from Micronauts was based on.
And I repeat, it would be nice to be able to fucking read it, since I don't know of online translators that cover Arabic-type languages (I can't remember which one this is, it's been a while since I read those comics, even though they mentioned it).

Got to the third puzzle....what the fuck?

    EDIT:

Oh hay guys I emailed Van...the duder in the videos. And this was the response.
If you're receiving this auto-response message it means that I've gone into hiding. You should be careful now, too. They're likely to start coming after all of us in an attempt to keep the balance of power in their favor. But remember, as our numbers increase as a group, the weaker they'll become.

As you recruit new people to our cause, you might need to share this message as guidance for how to navigate the 5 locks to the key code...

    1) The first lock will test your memory. Follow the trail of light and sound, but be careful -- one wrong move will send you back to the beginning.

    2) For the second lock, you may need to look to the stars. They will help you find HAAS who will lead your way.

    3) The third lock will require you to extinguish all lights but one. Only with one light remaining will you be able to proceed.

    4) The fourth lock will let you move all 4 pieces through the control of one. However, unless the three key pieces are simultaneously placed into position, you will not be granted access.

    5) The fifth lock will be the toughest. Seek help again from the stars to reveal your key and the message that you must decode. The two working together will open the way.

    Good luck.

    Van
