The M1 Abrams main battle tank is the principal combat tank of the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps, with three main versions being deployed starting in 1980: the M1, M1A1, and M1A2. The latest versions of the M1A2 have a new armor and electronics package. It is named after General Creighton Abrams, former Army Chief of Staff and commander of the Army's 37th Armored Regiment.
The M1 Abrams replaced the M60 Patton in U.S. service, as well as the M48A5. It did, however, serve alongside the M60A3, which had entered service just two years before the M1 (in 1978), for over a decade.
Alright. In the event you don't have a brain, receive training in the use of your firearm be it shotgun, pistol or otherwise. Don't simply buy a gun to learn how to use it.
After re-reading what Shim said I'd like to state that, as you may accidentally shoot somebody and that's somehow my responsibility were we living on fucking Mars.
The M60 (formally the United States Machine Gun, Caliber 7.62 mm, M60) is a family of American general purpose long range machine guns firing 7.62 mm NATO cartridges from a disintegrating belt of M13 links.
Introduced in 1957, it remains in use in every branch of the U.S. military and other armed forces. Its manufacture and continued upgrade for military and commercial purchase continues into the 21st century though it has slowly been replaced or supplemented in many roles by newer designs.
The M60 is no longer in use with the US military. The link provided shows the m60e4, an attempt to win back the military contract for the medium machine gun. In current use is the M240.
Metal Storm is a weapon system developed to shoot projectiles at insane rates of fire, that also eliminates the needs for shells or cartridges. It's soon going to revolutionize modern combat.
when you absolutely, positively MUST turn a dude into paint
I've seen a video of a helicopter using a 50 cal. It was recorded using nightvision. The targets (or should I say 'victims'?) were turned into bloodstains. It was insane.
Also, a buddy of mine came back from Iraq and showed us some pictures of some of the destroyed vehicles (he is a gunner). One shot showed a hummer with just the front end intact, the entire back end was obliterated.

i want to call you a dumb fuck, maybe you're just willfully ignorant, i don't know. anyway, helicopters would be using gatling guns, and that would be composed of 20mm cannons, say 800 rounds a minute? something like that.
i can't remember, i read it off one of those little fact sheets that i got of aircraft like you used to get for animals.

This is the best fucking weapon ever. You can cut a man in half with just one round from a mile and a half away.
I've seen videos that spotters took of the guys getting ripped in half by those things, or something similar to it. One hit a guy in the head, and in the next split second the head was just gone, basically vaporized into a bajillion little chunks.
most modern weaponry developed in first world countries is essentially useless (against the enemies we fight) and over expensive - we're still preparing to fight against the soviets in germany it seems.
fifty years from now, versions of the AK47 and the RPG will be dominating in most armed conflicts, the tank will be obsolete (already kind of is, essentially anyone but the US and its allies will get their tanks blown from the sky), and people will realize ground infantry is the only thing to be used in 4th Generation war effectively.
try soldiers for the truth, interesting site.

isn't it technically illegal (Geneva convention) to use the barret against human targets?

I mean play Hell March and ride this. People will think its a scene from Red Alert.
what if i buy a gun simply to shoot people
human beings
Well...ahem...I'd stress you use it for self defense. As murder can lead to prison, which then leads to rape unless you establish dominance early on.
Behold, the manliest gun ever:
Old school, bitches.
There's nothing more hardcore than knowing that if you miss, you're fucking dead.
Pretty rad, guys.
