Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
My brother and I have been working on a sound pack that replaces the scientist voices with Bill Bailey jokes and the transit system's voice over with Alan Partridges 4:00am Radio Norwich slot. It works surprisingly well.

Excellent Excellent work.
we once added Trevor McDonald saying "Rather him than me. Goodnight" when you killed something in Doom.
So why is episode II only coming out in "The Orange Box" and requiring you to repurchase HL2 and EpI ?
Apparently this news came out in May and my head was in my ass.
Anyone care to enlighten me?
If you must have a hard copy, then yes there is only one box. Probably makes sense from a manufacturing standpoint and a product confusion standpoint. You can gift the stuff you already have to people.
However, if you get it off Steam, you don't have to do that. And if you've already got HL2, you should have Steam and be ready for our bright shiny digital distribution future.
Pac Man's character is difficult to explain even to the Japanese -- he is an innocent character. He hasn't been educated to discern between good and evil. He acts more like a small child than a grown-up person. Think of him as a child learning in the course of his daily activities. If someone tells him guns are evil, he would be the type to rush out and eat guns. But he would most probably eat any gun, even the pistols of policemen who need them.

You can get it on its own via steam I think. The reason for the orange box is for consoles, cause Episode 2 uses a lot of assets from the original game and isnt standalone I DONT THINK IM NOT SURE
Though Valve has said that if you buy it retail, and add it to your existing Steam account, Steam recognizes extra copies and you can transfer licenses to a friend who doesn't have it yet.
I don't care about EP2, but I'll love it when I play it. As far as my own desires go, EP2 is overshadowed by Portal, because it's sorta different (yeah I played that Nebulous Cube game or whatever the fuck it was called that Portal is based on - same people working on it, right?) and because I like logic puzzles.
The "this next test is impossible" thing in the trailer does exactly what it is meant to do: it makes me say "oh yeah? fuck you" and I want to solve it.

Sucks because now my computer that used to run it is borked and my video card won't fit in the one I have.
Secret Satan
I'm probably going to end up buying the orange box though, despite already owning HL2 and Ep1, if only to get HL2 on a format that isn't 5 CDs.
You're a genius
Steam
October, if memory serves.
9th of october, I think
But I was into TFC before it turned into a bunch of homps. So I've been excited for TF2 ever since they announced they were actually releasing it.
"I am Heavy Weapon Guy. And this, is my Weapon."
"Some people think they can outsmart me. Maybe. Maybe. But I've yet to meet anyone that can outsmart Bullet."
Can't wait 'till Portal comes out.
Fuck, it all looks fantastic.
TF2 more so.
I don't even really care about Episode 2 at this point.
