I come from Swansea (Wales). Dylan Thomas was born here, probably the only person worth mentioning apart from boxing champion Enzo Maccarinelli. The guy from Aphex Twin's parents live around here somewhere. The area I live in is called Gower, and is your typical British rural countryside sort of affair. It was the first area in Britain to be declared an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' and plays host to a lot of archaological remains. 'Twin Town' was made in Swansea and is in the top ten list of films that most frequently use the word 'fuck'.
Oh yeah, we also have a dying language, which is really ugly.
