The idea of sending the pictures in is for the guy "distributing hardcore porn to anyone of any age", right?
And Thompson essentially made the gay porn viewable to anyone with access to the court database?

Actually, I know EXACTLY what he is doing.
It is clear, by now, that he has no chance in hell of winning this thing, so he is trying to become a martyr, trying to find a way to make it look like he was discriminated against. He would LOVE to find a way to make something a mistrial, but short of that he'll settle for something with questionable results that can more easily be appealed later. Anything to take the focus off of his behavior, and on to some one else's.
