Hahahaha. I am not a Metallica fan, except for in the way that anyone my age might look back on some of their earlier stuff through a haze of nostalgia, but this is rad as hell.

Also, I hope that she's not as ugly as he is.

I danced with Lisa Leslie (WNBA player) at a club in Hollywood once.

    I'm 5'7 on a tall day.

    She's almost 7'0

I'm not sure she knew I was there.
Isn't she the one that scored something like 101 points in one half of a high school game?

And the other team didn't come out for the second half.

Probably. I don't really follow WNBA "athletes" careers.

I met Steve Largent and Pope John Paul II in the same year - Steve came to speak at my school and the other was at a diocese-wide mass that my class attended (I went to a private Catholic school pre-high school). Got one autograph on a Hawks poster and a blessing from the other.

Couple years ago I flew into D.C. by way of BWI, and as I was making my way around the corner to head down to the baggage terminal, I ran right smack into this monster:

I'm 6'2" 245, and it still felt like I bounced off a brick wall. That man is enormous.

No, but we shook hands. Both times. Then he asked me how much I work out and and then we talked about books for like 5 minutes. This was the 2nd time I met him. The first time I met him he said "How's it going?" and then he started talking to my friend who apparently does some work for him with his websites, etc.

    Surreal conversation.

I almost got to meet Penn and Tellar after their show, but we had to get back to the hotel.

Also, I've met Gabe and Tycho and they signed my DS, but the signatures are coming off.

    Steve Largent? Fuck yes.

I loved that guy when I was a kid.

Too bad he went on to become a douchewad Congressman in his retirement.

Also too bad that, you know, Jerry Rice completely destroyed all of his records almost immediately after he set them.

Weaver and I saw a dude riding around on a unicycle while playing an accordion.

I instantly threw up my fist and shouted "rock the fuck on dude... rock the fuck on."

I couldn't help it, it was a reflex from some deeply seated root of my soul.

Not particularly, especially since all of that had yet to hit the fan and so it was firmly entrenched in my subconscious.

Oh, I know you didn't mean nuffink by it.

And I've had a pretty "normal" life, all things considered.

But having some random guy in a club bathroom offer to buy me and my friends like $800 of booze, while claiming to be some semi-famous rich dude...it just struck me as a pretty surreal experience.

Though not literally the "weirdest thing ever".

    I met some dudes.

Anyone want to see the pictures of me with Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood again?

Anyone want to hear tales of Sean Nelson?

Or, uh...I've met the guys from BNL. And uh, Bob Saget.

And a bunch of people at cons. Like Bruce Timm, and Paul Dini and stuff.

    Oh, and Khoo.

I got my picture taken with George Forman when I was a wee babeh. He held his fist up to my tiny infant skull and it was enourmous in comparison.

Also, I've had my picture taken with santa like, EIGHT TIMES.

I thought this Lofa guy would be huge considering I heard he's a linebacker. Then I saw he's 6'0 and 242 lbs. Huh.

I'm taller and weigh more than him. But he benchpresses weights and I benchpress Big Macs. I call it a draw.

They're all really nice, considering there's usually a pretty big line of people to see them after a show and they're all rather tired. Though, I met Ed and Kevin again in North Dakota, and it was so cold that hardly anyone was waiting and he actually hung out a bit longer. He's a very cool guy, and they seem to really care about their fans.

Walking into Jordyn and Fram's place for the first time, and seeing Khoo just hanging out in the kitchen with everyone, eating pizza...that's still my favorite "celebrity" meeting.
