Hell fucking yes, Peach has got her turnips back. I was worried for a little bit, with that weird dancey type move she seemed to be doing with Bowser in that earlier video. That means all her B moves are still there in some fashion or another, and that the Peach Bomber at least (hopefully Toad too) is improved. Exciting!

Now all I need to see is her Fair, Bair, and Dsmash have also survived the transition and I will be set.

She still has the same Bair looks like, but she gets juggled a fair bit. It's hard to tell, but around 24 she seems to do the Bair and around 28 she might be doing her dsmash or fsmash but gets hit and it is interrupted. At 32, you see her do her Dair and that seems to have stayed the same.

Yeah, saw the Dair and Bair in that video. That's comforting. It seems like they really haven't done much to her, which I kind of expected in a way. I had a hunch that Peach was a character Sakurai felt he had "gotten right" - good mix of aerials and ground moves, not too reliant on wavedashing, great for beginners and pros to use alike, powerful in the right hands but not broken powerful (i.e. Fox and waveshining). My impression is that Sakurai tries to design the game so that infinite combos are impossible - which is why Ness and Pikachu and even Kirby got nerfed so hard in the transition to SSBM, and why I think Fox will get hit by the nerfbat a little for this one.

Anyone have a video/screens of Peach's final smash? Interested to see it, I've been hearing it's quite broken

In other news, Metaknight looks ridiculously fun to play, and Pit actually looks like a character I could get good with. He appears to have a float a lot like Peachs and some decent aerials...

Pit has a glide like charizard and metaknight, which is not quite the same as peach's float. Also his up B basically just makes him able to fly for a short time.

Peach is incredibly balanced, one of my favorite characters from that standpoint (although I never play her). She's one that was extremely shunned at the start, as most people figured she was too slow. But once one person picked her up and figured out how to use her properly, she became an amazing character with great viability and versatility.

Mhm, gotcha. I was watching the Norfair video and the guy who was playing kept using the Up+B so much that I guess I mistook it for a floaty second jump.

Still, seems you can attack with the wings on, so maybe we can still float cancel it in the same fashion as Peach. We'll see at E For All, probably, when people who aren't terrible get to play the game a little 8-)

Never a huge Peach fan. I tend to goof around a fair bit nowadays, none of the people I play are really very good, except one guy, and his mains are Peach and IC. The thing I did like about Peach was that there was very little Shuffling to do. Other than her dair, I don't remember having to L-cancel much with her, though I'm no peach pro. I like to play with Link sometimes, and she's a pretty solid counter for him. Otherwise, I play with Gannon and Marth, which make her a pretty decent matchups for me. Still, she holds her own. Characters that desperately need fixing are Fox/Falco, Marth, and Sheik. Basically, the upper tier was ridiculously busted. Ike seems to be fairly balanced from the videos. No more ken combos please! No more waveshining and I never want to see Sheik's slap or ftilt anymore

Link seems to have kept just about every single move intact. His boomerang, according to the video commentary, now drags people in, which could be clutch to start a bit of chain grabbing. His up-b can also now be charged, which could be really handy for ledge guarding. His triple neutral slice is still there, albeit the hit box looks a bit bigger. His dsmash, fsmash and usmash all look identical to melee, though his fsmash looks to initially hit harder with the first hit than he currently does. I hope they left his air moves intact, though his fair could use a bit of speeding up.

Off-topic: I never go to Newgrounds, but I finally stumbled upon Rawest Forest, a Super Mario RPG remix that I instantly fell in love with. Goofy shit, but it has that special something. Huzzah!

I love Peach, my absolute favorite in Melee. She is deceptively strong, what with her down b skirt twirl, and she has a good aerial and range game as well. All around great for pros and beginners alike, really.

Man, my old college roomies and I tried to build our New Years Eve plans around Brawl and now- it's gone. Release dates shouldn't be announced unless they are actually finalized. I know it will probably be better with the extra time but they are the ones who hyped up December and constantly said "Brawl is an 07 game."
