I'm hoping there will be a level for it where Mario and Donkey Kong have to team up, starting with a tentative handshake between the two traditional rivals. That'd be neat.
If Wario didn't have the Wario Ware games putting him on the map as a distinct character, I don't think he'd be in Brawl.

Captain Falcon, Game and Watch, a possible Animal Crossing character, and whoever gets that other icon, at the very least, right? Not taking into account anyone from existing franchises/having an icon after Sonic.
Edit: It'd be hilarious if they started throwing in all these new franchises and marking the icons like "01a" or something.
