HBunny is a bow rogue, any others have something in mind? im flexible.
I'm claimed flexibility first!
Off hand?
I like druids and with PHB2 rules they're simple enough I won't want to scream anytime I think of wildshaping.
I was thinking a ranger-y type bow fighter.
A wizard is always fun to whip up.
ok i'll make a cleric then. in 15+ years of dnd i've had one cleric that saw less than 2 months of use. its funny that something so vanilla will be fresh to me after all this time.
clerics do not get martial proficiency, so if you have weapon familiarity - for being a dwarf for example - or if your deity's favored weapon is martial not simple, you must spend a feat to wield said weapons unless you have the War domain?

War Domain and the weapon is your god's favorite weapon. Unless your worshipping some crazy dwarven hero god from Greyhawk it means you can't use a War Axe.
That other familiar weapon pretty much sucks and am unaware of any god that grants it.
i would have to take a Martial Prof feat to go war axe, or use a "dont pick a god just two domains" type cleric, and call War/D.War Axe which i'd prefer not to do. i think i'll just go mace, since it's handy to have someone with bludgeon anyhow.
im looking at Fharlanghn. Travel and Luck, mace. the waraxe would have been nice, but i plan to tank & support more than dish damage anyhow.
i'm weighing my options between 20 speed or 30 speed more or less right now; dwarf vs other non-halfer race options.

You're playing a cleric, so you're probably going to want to wear heavy armor eventually, and with Dwarf, you don't take a speed hit for it (whereas with other Medium creatures, you're getting dropped down to 20 anyway.)
Going to get some food, but when I get back I'll prep my sheet using campaignblog or mythweavers or something.

I would consider wearing lighter armor for the ten move. probably not going to happen though.
my new dilemma is whats in my hands. i want to go shield, but needing to drop my weapon to cast constantly sounds like a bitch. i'm really tempted to go deity-less cleric just to take War / scythe as my weapon now ;-)
edit : IVE GOT IT AND ITS GLORIOUS.
e2: well it was going to be ;p i was thinking just spike-gauntlet punching the shit out of everything, but in the end i didnt want the -2 Cha so i went elf, who happened to come bundled with longsword. i gave him the gauntlet anyway.

Haven't rolled a girl character since 2nd edition. Looked through my Greyhawk Gazetteer and realized I'd never given Mayaheine a second glance, and considering she's a "new" deity it kind of leads things pretty open, which is cool. War and Protection domains... for warding allies and bastard-swording enemies. Took one of the PHB II divine feats, and picked up weapon prof for longbow so that way she could carry all three of her deity's favored weapons. And scale mail is of course the dear, dear friend of all first level clerics. Rambling... goddamn insomnia... is there a sleep domain?

Hey, I'm down for some pbp action if there's still room.
Damn it! Just because I decide to sleep earlier that usual, I miss out on both groups? Just so you know, I hate you all in the most loving of ways for getting to play. And HB, are you done with the Firefly game now? Because we kinda haven't played in a few weeks.
Level 1, 28 point buy, base races, anything PHB/PHBII/Tome of Battle is available. 9000gp each.
Base races - frontier town, etc. Use '4th ed saves' - so just add 10 to all of your saves to get a static value: you'll 'roll' your DC on casting, to save us a couple posts per cast. Ideally, one post = one turn in combat.
did i get skipped over or was i put in a group and misread it??
No, i just hate you.
Oh, cool.
edit:
How much hate are we talking about here?
Are we talking about hate like, "I wish this bug would stop flying around my head, I friggin' hate it!"-hate or are we talking about "You embody everything that is pure and unadulterated evil and I need the world to be rid of you in order to have a chance at satisfaction"-hate?
Posts
but!
not the same party. The two parties will be seperate. Your starting locations will also be different.
Will you encounter each other?
Maybe.
don't give your characters stupid names
that shit drives me bonkers
cliche and generic fantasy is okay
"bob the barbarian" is not
shit go use the random generator in WoW if you're stuck.
woo!
thanks for ::effort::

one final note
i know i said core only but MIC is where we will be drawing treasure from
meaningless for 1st level characters but keep that in mind when i start dropping random treasure and stuff.

Really, I'm flexible. Also, thinking.
Me too, but of course once these things get to the point of needing third stringers they should probably just be shut down anyway.
I knew I should have just charged blindly into this thread instead of doing any of that fancy "reading."
Delro, I'm cool covering the fighter base if you'd like, I just have more ideas for a wizard type than fighter.

That is correct.

He has a donkey named The Untoppled Mountain.
How do you say that in Dwarf?
Also... going with a Cleric of Mayaheine instead of Heironeous if that meets your approval, Pony.
