...since it's stuff that inspires movie scenes in my head. I'm looking for instrumentals, mainly.

Any other related stuff is welcome too. Death Cab's background music to some songs does it.

I guess what I'm looking for is indie-style instrumentals.

I'm very bad at describing this.

    If you're looking for straight, non-vocal instrumentals, you owe it to yourself to check out Explosions in the Sky and some of Broken Social Scene's stuff.

    Have you tried Pandora? Awesome place to find similiar music. Then again, it might be a bit difficult to find instrumentals.
