Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
The Newfangled Previews thread, beware here be spoilers.
Here is where you post any preview images of upcoming comics, unless they have a thread of their own, if there's a preview of Batman 600whatever, put it in the Batman thread. Yes, I realize I am contradicting myself by posting a Nightwing and BatO preview.
Batman and The Outsiders 1:
Here's something I found on CBR: the cover for a new What If? special based on The Rise And Fall Of The Shi'Ar Empire. Said cover pretty much tells you how things go different in this version of events.
Besides being written by the same guy doing the current Emperor Vulcan mini-series, Marvel also managed to bring an artist by the name of Larry Stroman to work on it as well, someone X-Factor fans should know.
Well, it only reflects the source material, really.
Because 9% think it's too high, and shouldn't be cut! 9% of respondents could not fully
get their arms around the question. There should be another box you can check for, "I
have utterly no idea what you're talking about. Please, God, don't ask for my input."
The Teen Titans one gave me hope that Son of Vulcan would still be alive after Titans East, then I realized that DC doesn't care about continuity fuck ups anymore.
Also, I didn't realize that Pete Tomasi was a high school student, because god damn that dialogue is awful.

Considering it's a team from the future it doesn't really matter.
yeah but if Vulcan just got killed wouldn't that erase future Vulcan from the timeline?
This Titans arc is taking place in like, one day. It's not like comic books are all running on a strict timeline here. Plus if anything, Vulcans going to have digestive problems from that laser shot dealie, not necessarily a funeral.
So am I the only one thinking this Titans arc is turning out to be moderately bad?

Storyline-wise, yeah, it's kinda just TITANS OF TOMORROW PT. 2: THIS TIME IT'S PERSONAL or something. But I have really enjoyed most of the character interaction (at least scenes that don't involve Tim or Cassie), so I don't think it's a total loss.
And I sorta like that they're throwing in crazy future versions of tons of young characters.
So the preview of the last issue of WWH: Frontline seems to indicate it won't be as bad as the last issue of CW: Frontline.

Here's an interview with Mat Johnson about his original graphic novel, Incognegro, which is being published by Vertigo in February. It's sorta one of those books you never expect to see in comic form, and I'm pretty excited about getting it. http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=137901

Yes.
But are those covers exactly what this sort of moronic fanboy jizzfest cash-in event needs?
Also yes.
Fixed that for ya.
As ludicrous as they seem- I may just have to pick these up.

Nothing has happened that actually effects them, so far. I mean, they already did the "oh no we grow up to be evil" thing.

I kid, but god damn it's a long time between issues with this series.
I dunno, that seems simple and a bit crass, don't you think?
