hahahahaha I ruined Thanksgiving by making the children happy

    I love conservative fucktards

I also love the fact that these children are insistent on my being a 'she' even though there is absolutely no rational reason why they should think that right now

they are just reading my aura or some similar bullshit

and now because I have played with them and made them happy and my family has heard these utterances, a huge shitstorm has erupted and I have ruined Thanksgiving and am getting kicked out by the end of the weekend

    I RULE SCHOOL

    Ooh, home-towner Congressman. First one.

Unfortunately, Charles A. Kading (R-WI, 1927-1933) did jack squat, but hey. (In case you're wondering, Watertown has no memorial to him that I know of, no street named after him, no nothing. You know what other hometown boy gets this treatment? Fred Merkle.)

Maybe we ought to simply rid ourselves of the notion of gender and use only neutral pronouns.

Or maybe everyone ought to shut up and eat pie.

    Sweet, sweet pie.

I'm glad that the children could properly ID you, Oboro.

I've said it before, but my favorite Thanksgiving tradition is having zero contact with my extended family. It leads to drama and silliness.

Of course, since I'm in the Godless North, I get to celebrate Black Friday tomorrow with my family instead of Thanksgiving.

Ooh, hey, CNBC documentary on video game history.

I give it 12-1 odds that it'll actually tell me something I don't already know. We're working on Nolan Bushnell picking the name Atari.

Yeah, that's likely. I'm sure this is an accurate representation of the opposing party's grievance.
The opposing party's grievance is that I ruined Thanksgiving by corrupting the children by allegedly telling them blasphemous lies about my personhood. This is a family in which I was yelled at earlier today for killing a paper wasp that was on an inside windowpane because it is one of God's creations.

A paper wasp, indoors, in a room with four children under the age of 6. I was hassled for killing this wasp, because it is one of God's creations.

If I accurately represent the other party here, Church, it ceases to be funny and just makes me want to shoot people.

Well you didn't have to kill it. A glass and sheet of paper work fine.

What would you say if Jesus came back right after you killed the wasp and he didn't take you with him because you had it's blood on your hands?

Well, childish straw man arguments make me want to shoot people, so I guess we're even.

Anyway, if these people disgust you so much, why are you with them? You don't have to put up with that, just leave.

*First Pong arcade machine stopped working because it got stuffed full of quarters
*Atari employees liked being paid in beer
    *Steve Jobs!
*Home version of Pong sold like gangbusters

*Bushnell sold Atari to big company that didn't know what in blazes it was doing
*Developers wanted recognition. Big company tells them to suck it. Developers bolt to found Activision.

NEW THINGS CNBC DOCUMENTARY TELLS ME THAT I ALREADY KNOW:

*Space Invaders was apparently popular or something.
*Japan had to mint more 100-yen pieces because so many kept going into the Space Invaders machines-- hang on, I actually didn't know that. Score one for CNBC.
    *Pac-Man came from a pizza.
*Nintendo started out making playing cards.
    *Their first game was Radarscope.
    *Shiggy!
    *Miyamoto introduced storylines.
*E.T. was made in six weeks and was really really crappy.
*There's a hole in New Mexico and it's filled with Atari cartridges.

Okay, so the score is CNBC 1, My Existing Knowledge 15.

NEW THINGS CNBC DOCUMENTARY TELLS ME THAT I ALREADY KNOW:

*Nintendo made something called the Famicom.
*They called it the Nintendo Entertainment System so they didn't have to call it a 'video game' system.
*R.O.B. was little more than part of this little ruse.
*SMB1 was a pack-in with the NES. Was apparently a halfway decent game.
*Tetris was made by a Russian! Gasp!
    *Game Boy. Popular.
*So was the Genesis, which replaced the Master System.
*Some Japanese guys told Michael Katz, concerning the Genesis, some Japanese phrase that translated to "1 million units', and he prayed for that every night... okay, CNBC scores there.
    *Sonic is fast.
    *SEGA!

Current score: CNBC 2, My Brain 24.

NEW THINGS CNBC DOCUMENTARY TELLS ME THAT I ALREADY KNOW:

*Myst put PC games on the map. Um, didn't text games do that? Maybe they meant back on the map. I won't score this one for either side.
*Sony tried to ally with Nintendo, but was trying to get rights to software. Nintendo, suspicious, allies with Phillips. Sony goes and makes Playstation. I'll give CNBC credit on the rights-to-software part.
*Sony competes on graphics. Works. In that era.
*Playstation makes up most of the good parts of Sony, money-wise.
*PS1 outsold top 5 computer makers combined... CNBC scores.
    *Bill Gates, threatened, makes Xbox.
*Xbox loses lots of money. Microsoft could care less.
    *Nintendo still rules handheld market.
    *Wii targets casual gamers.
*Console lifespan is about 5 years.
    *Fanboys exist.

Final score: CNBC 4, My Brain 33.
