well, you could, of course, simply design a custom brush in PS for each different letter.

    Might be time-consuming, though. :P

Oh Mule, you get more lovable every day!!

    [Edit]
I used the FontCreator Demo... I actually made the images in Photoshop and then copied or imported or something to the Font Program. It's a simple font I made though and the demo was fine. Or trial period or whatever it was.

How would you make correct line weight with a pencil(Like the way an inker would make the lines vary in size/width)? Does it depend on your lighting? Like if you drew a head, would you draw the left of the head lightly with thin lines and then draw the rest of the head with thicker, more darker/fuller lines for the parts that won't be hit with light?

That really depends. Different pencillers and inkers have different styles. Some inkers work well with certain pencillers while others just don't make for a good combination. I'd suggest studying some decent inkers and maybe picking up a book on the subject. In the end it all comes down to preference and what you think works best.

A couple of methods of mine

    - sit relaxing for a bit. Maybe watching the TV or playing a simple game, something that doesn't require much mental power. Your mind will eventually wander to different ideas much easier than if you were sitting at a desk staring at a blank sheet of paper

    - Find a favorite film/tv/show/game character and draw it in your own way, or in a completley different way to what they should look like. Aka a cartoon character drawn as if it was a real person, a movie acter drawn as a cartoon character, etc.

    - Put a favorite film on and pause it every time you see a scene you like, then quickly draw it.

    - put a random playlist of music on and draw the first thing that comes into your mind when a random song comes on. You have until the song ends to finish drawing, then you move onto the next song and draw the first thing that song makes you think of

    - BOOBIES

Anyway, I have a theroy. Usually if I'm wide awake, I'll try and be very focused on getting my picture to look right and take my time with it, inspecting it from different angles and so on until I'm done with sketching it. Done a couple of days ago at college, took me about an hour and a half.
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v193/kevingrfoster/halowipforweb.jpg

If I'm exceedingly tired, I'll draw very quickly and spontaniously without really thinking about it. Done tonight about half an hour ago in Opencanvas, (grunt and elite), took about 20 munites each)
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v19/Metalbourne/hotlead-wang-metal.jpg

If I'm half way between (lets just say drowsy or a little tired) I'm pretty much absolutley usless at drawing.

The thing is, I like the more 'cartoony' results of when I draw tired and not thinking much about structute, but I also like the more structured approach that I take when I'm wide awake and thinking straight. I'm trying to figure out how to 'not think and think' at the same thime when drawing to get a nice cartoony pose and look but with enough structure and focus on detail. Any opinions or ideas?

I just got some prismacolor markers, 10% 30% warm 40% and 70% gray

I've seen the tutorial that Feng Zhu has on his site but I was wondering if anyone has tried these, and what are some good techniques you used.

I need practice with my regular drawing too but this would a good way to get some presentation quality out of my better drawings.

Im not sure, but I'd probably post that in one of the two secret santa threads rather than the question/discussion because of the very temporary nature of the comment. Months later nobody will benefit from the answer.

Get your Secret Santa stuff in as soon as you're able. The ultimate deadline would be Christmas, and a week before Santa's going to start showing off some of the gifts to inspire the lazy bastards that put off doing theirs until the last minute.

Which version of flash you using?

You should first click on the object you want to make a button...

...then right click it and select "Convert to Symbol" when prompted select "Button"

...then click on it again and find that action window...then use that code. Or you can look to the left and there should be a list of actions...select 'goto' and then there should be some options. Select 'Release' or 'Press' and then send it back to frame 1.

I have a kinda stupid question... Is it meant to not see your pictures when u preview a message with images? I´m doing everything as it´s said, but nooo, it doesn´t work. My pictures are from photobucket so I thought if there is something wrong with that...
Please help me, or I can´t put my doodles here!!!

If you can't see your picture in the preview then you're doing something wrong either in the syntax of the bbcode or in the way that you handled your upload of the images or photobucket doesn't allow hotlinking to forums. I've never used that host so I don't know about that last bit. Can you see the image if you put the image location into your address bar?

Yes I can, and also my own picture is from photobucket. I don´t know, if I have done something wrong when I inserted the image, because I have tried at many different ways, but no, it won´t work...

Make sure it's 32-bit RGB. *shrug* Shit like that has happened to me before where my stuff somehow gets saved as CMYK. I don't know how else you're having a problem besides accidently screwing up the linking address. Make sure the http:// is on there.

Photobucket should work fine. You're probably ballsing up the linking, as neo says. Maybe just try submitting it to this thread, see if it works, and if it doesn't then we can probably look at it and see what went wrong?

Set some of that cash aside for a nice tablet. You'll also want a semi-decent video card. State of the art isn't neccesary, but get a nice one.

The two most important and expensive things you'll want are A) a new flatscreen monitor and B) as much RAM as you can possibly cram into it. RAM RAM RAM.
